Donald Trump killed House Speaker Mike Johnson’s attempt to fully fund Joe Biden’s agenda into the first year of his Presidency.
Among the more odious line items on Johnson’s spending, surrender was a Congressional pay raise.
Trump wrote on Truth Social that “this is not a good time for Congress to be asking for pay increases.”
One RINO in Congress reportedly did think it was a good time to boost member pay.
And that was pro-Ukraine swamp loyalist Dan Crenshaw (R-TX).
Conservative commentator Nick Sortor sounded the alarm about Crenshaw’s reported swamp power play.
Sortor posted on X:

Last week when he was asked about his stock trading, Crenshaw whined that members of Congress haven’t had a pay raise since 2009.
Crenshaw ALMOST got his way, with a pay increase for members + benefits being included in today’s massive spending boondoggle.
Recently, Crenshaw even said “you have no way to better yourself as a Congressman” without being able to trade stocks. That’s INSANE. THIS GUY is responsible for LOADS of the garbage we see being thrown into spending bills. All for his own benefit.”

Crenshaw – a sitting member of Congress who likes to position himself as the adult in the room – flew off the handle into a profane tirade.
“Yeah or maybe you’re a f****** lying piece of s*** because I’m not even on the YES list for the whip team. Never have been. But hey, whatever gets you pathetic bottom feeders your click bait. F****** incels,” Crenshaw raged.
The popular pro-Trump account Catturd called out Crenshaw for being an America-last warmonger that supports a blank check for war in Ukraine, who is also opposed to bans on members of Congress trading stocks.
“Yeah get it right – Dan Crenshaw is the America-last, Ukraine-first war pig who doesn’t need a raise because of all the money he makes when he miraculously became a stock expert since joining Congress,” Catturd wrote.
That led to an even more profane and deranged response from Crenshaw.
“Anonymous cowards like “catturd” talking sh@& without any evidence. I’m used to it. Sorry I was guy fighting the wars that little b**** like you would never dare to. One of us has actually served this country and continues to, while losers like you make money being trolls on social media. I live in Atascocita, just outside Houston. If you think I’m “rich,” you’re a f****** idiot. The people getting rich off politics are the “influencers” like Catturd selling their platforms to the highest bidder. Sorry to break it yall, that’s the truth,” Crenshaw ranted on X.
Others noted that Crenshaw never actually addressed the substance of the allegation about supporting a Congressional pay raise.
You could’ve denied the report and moved on, but instead your emotional outburst makes it sound like you were caught in something. Guess we’ll never know now,” Assistant News Director of Florida Voices News Eric Daughtry wrote in response to Crenshaw.
