It’s not just Donald Trump returning to Washington, D.C.

Melania Trump is as well.

And Melania Trump made one request of Barron Trump that turned Washington upside down.

Donald Trump isn’t the only dealmaker in the Trump family.

Incoming First Lady Melania Trump also showed she mastered her version of the art of the deal.

Melania pitted multiple Hollywood studies against one another in a bidding war that resulted in a $40 million deal with Amazon for a documentary about the weeks leading up to her becoming First Lady again.

“A first of its kind, behind the scenes documentary on the work that goes into being the first lady has landed a $40 million distribution deal. Melania Trump’s concept, which centers around her life and work as she reenters the White House, kicked off a bidding war between major Hollywood studios and resulted in a blockbuster deal with Amazon,” Breitbart reported.

Melania Trump will play a major role in the film’s production with Rush Hour franchise director Brett Ratner attached.

And the film will also feature Melania and Donald Trump’s son Barron.

“Mrs. Trump will serve as executive producer on the feature documentary, which will receive a theatrical run before becoming available to stream on Amazon Prime Video. The feature will offer a detailed look into her daily life and will include brief appearances by President-elect Donald Trump and their son, Barron,” Breitbart also reported.

Americans have never heard from Barron Trump before.

Barron played a key role in the 2024 campaign, as he picked what podcasts Donald Trump should appear on to make sure each one reached the younger male, irregular voter audience the campaign counted on as its key to victory over Kamala Harris.

The documentary will receive a brief theatrical release before heading to the Amazon Prime Video streaming service.

This is an out-of-character move by Melania Trump.

Melania largely shunned the spotlight the last eight years preferring to raise Barron Trump.

Melania didn’t even speak at last summer’s Republican National Convention.

It was the first time anyone could remember the nominee’s spouse not delivering a speech.

But Barron Trump is now in college in New York.

And this is Donald Trump’s final term in office.

Melania Trump knows her story will get told one way or the other.

That’s why Melania released her memoir last fall.

The success of the book – it became a number one bestseller – convinced Hollywood studios and streaming platforms that a Melania Trump documentary was a viable property.

It’s likely Melania Trump agreed to this documentary to chronicle her take on the last eight years and what lies ahead in the next four years on her own terms as opposed to waiting for news outlets to write their fictionalized version of events or for someone else to cash in and turn their experiences in Trumpworld into the truth with their own documentary.
