January 6 flopped as a political attack against Donald Trump.
Voters realized that by making the election about January 6 Democrats focused the election on their own neuroses and Trump Derangement Syndrome as opposed to the lives of the American people.
Two months later the media and Democrat Party couldn’t help themselves but wallow in an ocean of January retrospectives.
Megyn Kelly mocked this as absurd on her podcast.
“We have to start with the fact that it’s January 6, and they are literally treating it on the left like it is 9/11,” Kelly began.
The View’s Sunny Hostin baselessly claimed January 6 was on par with the Holocaust and slavery.
Joe Biden once falsely claimed January 6 was the worst attack in democracy since the Civil War.
Kelly reminded her audience that January 6 wasn’t some solemn day of remembrance.
January 6 was really just the day when Congress gathered to certify the results of the election.
“It is ridiculous. It’s got an actual function. It’s the day that the 2024 election will be officially certified,” Kelly added.
And for the first time since 1989, no Democrat objected to a Republican’s Presidential Election victory.
Kelly said that was the real headline even if the media and Democrat Party tried to turn January 6 into just another slur used to smear Trump supporters as domestic extremists and terrorists.
“But it is more important to the corporate media the day that they will celebrate their favorite anniversary to smear all Trump supporters and again, to treat this day as though it does live in infamy, akin to that of 9/11 or Pearl Harbor,” Kelly continued.
Kelly compared the hoax the media invented about January 6 being the day Trump incited an insurrection to overthrow the government to how the woke Left invents examples of racism to keep up the lie America is a horrible and bigoted country.
“It’s similar to how they’ve run out of real examples of racism everywhere. So they have to make them up. You know, they’ve run out of examples to make Trump supporters look horrible,” Kelly went on to say.
Kelly said Democrats tried to turn January 6 into something it wasn’t because groups the Left supports – Black Lives Matter and Antifa – spent the entire summer of 2020 rioting and staging an insurrection.
“So they’ve got to exaggerate what happened on January 6 to make it into one of the riots that they did… They’ve got to make it sound like the right. Those are the rioters, those the insurrectionists. Those are the ones who are truly a problem,” Kelly concluded.
