Meghan Markle hoped that 2025 would be the year her career flourished.

She’s already suffered significant setbacks.

And Meghan Markle faced one awful reality that left her with the worst feeling of her life.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle face an uncertain future as their careers fizzle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were hoping to hit it big as celebrities when they moved to Southern California in 2020 after quitting as senior members of the British royal family.

The royal couple are at a crossroads in Hollywood after their lack of success in the entertainment industry.

Harry and Meghan inked a deal with Netflix worth a reported $100 million that expires at the end of 2025.

His 2023 docuseries Polo for Netflix was panned by critics and failed to connect with audiences.

The series follows the competition for polo’s U.S. Open Championship.

A royal insider told Radar Online that Meghan is “naturally very concerned” about the couple’s Netflix contract after Polo flopped.

“Netflix hasn’t dumped them yet and Meghan and Harry are holding out hope that it will never come to pass,” the royal insider said.

The couple’s $20 million contract with streaming service Spotify ended in 2023 after Meghan only released 12 episodes of her podcast.

Spotify executive Bill Simmons called them lazy “grifters.”

“I have got to get drunk one night and tell the story of the Zoom I had with Harry to try and help him with a podcast idea,” Simmons said. “It’s one of my best stories… f*** them.”

Things don’t look good for Harry and Meghan with Netflix.

“Netflix isn’t even promoting this project, it’s so bad, which means Meghan’s lost allies there, too,” the royal insider said about Polo. “They’re running out of both money, Spotify exec, AND friends.”

Meghan Markle’s fate could rest on her new show

Netflix is releasing a new lifestyle docuseries starring Meghan called With Love, Meghan that features her cooking and gardening with her celebrity friends.

If that show is a bust, it could doom the couple’s hopes of extending their deal with Netflix.

“It could be her last chance to get their Netflix deal renewed,” the insider claimed.

They’re counting on the contract to fund their lavish lifestyle.

“It’s not just about one project, it’s a $100 million deal, they are counting on that income,” the insider explained.

Ok! reported that Polo’s bad reviews could sink the possibility of Meghan’s new show succeeding.

“There won’t be another deal,” a source told Ok! about Netflix. “There may be one-offs but that’s it.”

Harry and Meghan have become yesterday’s news in Hollywood after their struggles.

“A-listers are now actively keeping away from them and events they are apparently going to attend,” another source said. “One told me, ‘It’s not a good look to be around them.'”

Public relations expert Mark Borkowski predicted that the couple’s future in entertainment was riding on the success of Meghan’s show.

“So, as an income stream, it’s huge… if she gets it right. But it could be make-or-break for the Duchess if the show is yet another failure,” Borkowski explained. “I don’t believe you can have so many failed ventures without people questioning what you’re going to do next.”
