John Fetterman put his name on a piece of paper that showed he’s scared of one thing
John Fetterman keeps trying to reinvent himself politically.
Fetterman’s latest move turned heads across Washington, D.C.
And John Fetterman put his name on a piece of paper that showed he’s scared of one thing.
Laken Riley’s murder was a stain on Joe Biden’s legacy.
In September 2022 Biden let an illegal alien named Jose Ibarra into the country by abusing his parole authority.
In February 2024 Ibarra murdered Riley as she went for a run on the University of Georgia campus.
The facts of how Ibarra remained in America led to Georgia Congressman Mike Collins introducing the Laken Riley Act.
Ibarra didn’t show up for a court date in Georgia on shoplifting charges.
New York officials then released Ibarra after police arrested him for crimes committed against a child.
The Laken Riley Act requires law enforcement to detail illegal aliens arrested for shoplifting or burglary.
This legislation also allows state Attorneys General to sue the federal government if they can prove their state was harmed by a failure to enforce federal immigration law.
The bill passed the House with 250 votes – 37 Democrats voted with Republicans – and it headed to the Senate.
House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) applauded this important step in reversing Joe Biden’s open borders agenda.
“[T]he Laken Riley Act, sponsored by Rep. Mike Collins, holds the Biden Administration accountable for their role in these tragedies through their open border policies, requires detention of illegal aliens who commit theft and mandates ICE take them into custody, and allows a state to sue the Federal government on behalf of their citizens for not enforcing the border laws, particularly in the case of parole,” Scalise stated.
In the Senate, Mitch McConnell ally Katie Britt introduced companion legislation.
“In stark contrast, Senate Republicans are prioritizing protecting American families from day one of the 119th Congress. We’re ready to make America safe again, and we’re ready for President Trump’s second term,” Britt said of her bill.
The Laken Riley Act picked up one surprising co-sponsor.
And that was John Fetterman.
“Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.), along with 50 Senate Republicans, is cosponsoring the Laken Riley Act. Sens. Katie Britt (R-Ala.) and Ted Budd (R-N.C.) are championing the now-bipartisan package,” Punch Bowl News reported.
Fetterman isn’t making a turn to the right.
Fetterman just wants to gaslight the increasingly Republican electorate of Pennsylvania into thinking he’s a centrist.

Fetterman supported the border betrayal bill that would have allowed Joe Biden to put 2,000,000 illegal aliens per year on the express lane to amnesty.
Fetterman also refuses to yield on his support for children undergoing transgender surgeries.
Fetterman knows he’s up for re-election in 2028 – a Presidential year – in a state that is trending Republican.
And Fetterman seized on the Laken Riley Act to play a game of political make believe.
