Ilhan Omar is one of the biggest Trump haters around.

Omar entered Congress in 2018 full of fire and brimstone to impeach Trump and expel him from public life.

But now Ilhan Omar hated having to make this concession to Donald Trump.

Ilhan Omar credits Donald Trump for Gaza ceasefire

After 15 months of war following Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel, the two sides reached a ceasefire.

Donald Trump called the agreement for a six-week cessation of hostilities, in exchange for the immediate release of 30 hostages an “epic” agreement that showed he could rack up foreign policy wins even before taking office.

“This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

Trump noted that what was important was that both Americans and Israelis that Hamas held captive would return home.

“I am thrilled American and Israeli hostages will be returning home to be reunited with their families and loved ones,” Trump added.

Trump wanted there would be “hell to pay” if the hostages weren’t released by his inauguration.

In his post on Truth Social, Trump compared this deal to the historic Abraham Accords his administration negotiated in his first term and promised Americans there were more victories to come.

“With this deal in place, my National Security team, through the efforts of Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, will continue to work closely with Israel and our Allies to make sure Gaza NEVER again becomes a terrorist safe haven,” Trump added.

“We will continue promoting PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH throughout the region, as we build upon the momentum of this ceasefire to further expand the Historic Abraham Accords. This is only the beginning of great things to come for America, and indeed, the World!” Trump continued.

Joe Biden claimed this deal that Hamas and Israel accepted was the same one that’s been on the table since May.

Even Ilhan Omar knew what time it was and credited Donald Trump – and not her own party’s President – for getting this cease fire across the finish line.

“We knew that pressure applied by the United States would bring a ceasefire, and it’s just unfortunate that it was Trump’s pressure,” Omar stated.

Professionals also credited Donald Trump.

Former Israeli diplomat Alon Pinkas went on CNN and told host Jake Tapper that Trump’s election was the pivot point that got everyone to yes because both sides feared Trump’s unpredictability.

“If you’re asking what the game changer was and what brought Netanyahu to say yes now after many months of resisting, it was the Donald Trump factor,” Pinkas explained.

“It’s not that Trump pressured him. It’s that he’s afraid of the unpredictability and transactionality that Trump is known for that caused him to say I better get on his good side now,” Pinkas concluded.
