All hell broke loose when Donald Trump read this judge’s order

Donald Trump can’t escape the Left’s lawfare.

Trump has one more battle to fight.

And all hell broke loose when Donald Trump read this judge’s order.

It was no surprise that leftwing Judge Juan Merchan rejected Donald Trump’s motion to vacate the guilty verdict in Alvin Bragg’s falsification of business records witch hunt following the Supreme Court’s ruling on Presidential immunity.

Following the law was never the issue in this case.

Merchan made that perfectly clear with his deranged ruling.

All Merchan and the Left wants out of this case is the ability to call Donald Trump a convicted felon when he takes the oath of office so Democrats can taint Trump’s win.

Merchan announced on January 3 that he was setting a sentencing date for January 10.

“This Court must sentence Defendant within a reasonable time following verdict; and Defendant must be permitted to avail himself of every available appeal, a path he has made clear he intends to pursue but which only becomes fully available upon sentencing,” Merchan stated.

Merchan knows that Trump can appeal the immunity ruling prior to sentencing.

But by only giving a narrow seven day window – two of which took place over the weekend – Merchan tried to squeeze Trump so Trump couldn’t get a motion in front of an appeals court in time for them to issue a ruling blocking the sentencing hearing from taking place.

Merchan wrote this was his only chance to sentence Trump because if sentencing gets pushed past January 20 Trump’s Presidential immunity kicks in.

“[I]f the Court is unable to impose sentence before Defendant takes his oath of office, then this may become the only viable option,” Merchan wrote.

Merchan then explained why this was important to him and the Left.

The judge included in his ruling a template for the talking points the media should use on January 20 to delegitimize Trump’s win.

Merchan claimed that Trump stole the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton through how his company logged payments to Michael Cohen in 2017 and 2018.

“Here, 12 jurors unanimously found Defendant guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records with the intent to defraud, which included an intent to commit or conceal a conspiracy to promote a presidential election by unlawful means. It was the premeditated and continuous deception by the leader of the free world that is the gravamen of this offense,” Merchan declared.

Merchan claimed he couldn’t vacate the verdict because Trump concocted a conspiracy to cover up stealing the Presidency while in the Oval Office.

“To vacate this verdict on the grounds that the charges are insufficiently serious given the position Defendant once held, and is about to assume again [i.e., the presidency], would constitute a disproportionate result and cause immeasurable damage to the citizenry’s confidence in the Rule of Law,” Merchan continued.

None of this is true.

But it’s the script the Democrats and the media will gladly read from on the day Trump takes the oath of office.

Merchan wants Trump’s sentencing before the inauguration so he can deliver this lecture in person in court so it’s entered into the official record.
