Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez promotes the big lie
Democrats made calling Donald Trump a fascist the centerpiece of their closing message to voters.
The American people rejected it in decisive fashion as Donald Trump won the popular vote and Electoral College in landslide fashion.
And yet the night before Donald Trump’s second inauguration, Ocasio-Cortez clung to this lie claiming Trump was an authoritarian and falsely claimed conservative Hungarian President Victor Orban – who supports Trump – was the type of dictator Trump emulated.
“Well, we are on the eve of an authoritarian administration. This is what 21st century Fascism is starting to look like. Republicans really model themselves after Orban. And so you can look to see how Victor Orban runs hungry, to get a taste of how they will try to govern and control media and companies in the United States,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a video posted to Instagram.
Ocasio-Cortez then whined that platforms like Facebook and X no longer censored conservatives and announced she would move to platforms that suppressed the speech of her political opponents.
“And this is kind of an entree to that, as far as what we do, you know, some of this, this is a time of experimentation. A lot of people will still use platforms. Can still use platforms, but I also look towards places where you have more ownership as well and develop your audiences. There, like blue sky, you own your audience instead of protocol, decentralized protocol, newsletters, emails,” Ocasio-Cortez concluded.

Donald Trump’s first day in office
Contrary to Ocasio-Cortez’s falsehoods, Donald Trump spent his first day in office restoring the rule of law.
Trump issued executives orders ending birthright citizenship and DEI programs in the federal government.
The Office of Personnel Management sent out an email on January 21 announcing that all employees working in DEI programs were to be placed on administrative leave by 5PM January 22.
Trump also declared a national emergency at the southern border, took the handcuffs off ICE, and ended catch and release.
And to end the weaponization of the government, Trump issued pardons for more than 1,500 January 6 defendants and ordered the Justice Department to end all ongoing January 6 prosecutions.
These weren’t the actions of a dictator.
These were all campaign promises that Trump made that the voters ratified by re-electing Trump in resounding fashion.
Ocasio-Cortez was nearly reduced to tears because Democrats think democracy only works when their guy wins.
