Winning the Presidency is a life-altering event for not just the candidate, but their family as well.

The Trumps are re-learning that lesson.

And Barron Trump helped Melania make one life-changing decision.

Melania Trump redefined the role of First Lady during Donald Trump’s first term in office.

America had never seen a First Lady like this before.

That was due in part to Melania setting an example by putting family first and delaying her move to D.C. because the couple’s son Barron was just 10 years old at the time.

Melania Trump wanted to be a mom first, so she remained behind in New York so Barron could finish out the school year with his friends.

Past First Ladies like Jill Biden and Hillary Clinton couldn’t wait to move into the White House and put their stamp on political debates.

Not Melania Trump.

Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt asked Melania where she planned to spend the next four years in an interview that took place days before Donald and Melania Trump returned to the White House.

“And where will you be spending most of your time, in the White House? Palm Beach? Here in New York?” Earhardt wondered.

Melania replied that this time she would spend the majority of her time in D.C. while also traveling to New York and Mar-a-Lago as family obligations required.

“I will be in the White House,” she replied. “And you know, when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York, when I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach,” Melania replied.

Melania explained that for now, her number one obligation was to be a mom, but come inauguration, her chief priority was serving the country.

“But my first priority is, you know, to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife,” Melania continued. “And once we’re in, you serve the country.”

Earlier last fall, CNN reported fake news that Melania Trump wouldn’t accompany Donald Trump back to D.C. if he won a second term.

“Melania Trump is unlikely to move to Washington full time in her second go-round as first lady, multiple sources told CNN, once more showing signs of her willingness to buck tradition as she returns to her high-profile but unelected role on the world stage. Discussions about how and where she’ll spend her time are ongoing, the sources said,” CNN reported.

Melania told Earhardt in the previous Fox News interview that Barron Trump was in college in New York and that his situation could affect hers.

“I could not say I’m an empty nester. I don’t feel that way,” Melania said to Earhardt.

“It was his decision to come here, that he wants to be in New York, study in New York, and live in his home and I respect that. … He’s enjoying his college days. I hope he will have a great experience because his life is very different than any other 18-, 19-year-old child,” Melania added.

Ever since Donald Trump won his first election, the media obsessed over a deranged conspiracy theorist that Melania was a secret member of the resistance and hated Donald Trump being President.

This interview should end that hogwash once and for all.
