Chris Cuomo admits Kamala isn’t a very talented politician

NewsNation host Chris Cuomo said on his podcast that Democratic National Convention organizers made sure they put both former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama on the second night of the convention.

Cuomo explained this scheduling was the result of careful planning to create a buffer between the Obamas and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Kamala doesn’t share the Obamas’ oratorical gifts so Cuomo said the smart move was to separate them.

“I do think there’s something special about Barack Obama when it comes to political acumen and political skill set, and I think he showed that [on Tuesday]. Now, there’s also a reason that he and Michelle were removed by two days from Harris. Why? Because you got to be careful about overshadowing your nominee,” Cuomo explained.

But Cuomo said Kamala was going to have to enter the spotlight soon and start explaining her views and answering questions about why she needs four more years to fix inflation and the border when she couldn’t fix them in the last four.

 And why she abandoned all the leftist positions she took when she ran for President in 2020.

“And when she gets this mantle, when this convention ends when Labor Day happens … it’s time for her to make the case. With me, on the media, in the papers, on the sets, from the stump, in a debate, in more than one debate. She’s got to show she can make the case,” Cuomo stated.

Cuomo says Kamala is hiding

Cuomo said Kamala’s campaign is trying to run out the clock.

Kamala’s handlers think they have the momentum and don’t want to take any risks to upset the applecart.

But Cuomo said Kamala’s hide-the-ball strategy just makes it more glaringly obvious her handlers think she is an empty suit.

“She shouldn’t be hiding from making the case. You’ll buy some time; the trend is your friend in politics and the numbers are trending the right way. So they don’t want to put her in front of the media, but that teaches us something also. You don’t want to put her in front of the media because you think there’s risk in that,” Cuomo continued.

Cuomo said that Democrats wouldn’t have been afraid to put former President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, or Barack Obama out in front of questioners.

“Wouldn’t have done that with Bill Clinton, they wouldn’t have done that with Hillary Clinton, they wouldn’t have done that with Barack Obama, because they felt there was no risk about putting those people in the chair. So here they do see some risk. What does that tell you? It’s an open question,” Cuomo concluded.

Kamala Harris has been the Democrat candidate for one month.

She hasn’t done any interviews. 

Kamala has held no press conferences.

The only recent Democrat candidate for President who hid from the media like this – with the full knowledge that the media is on their side – is President Joe Biden.

And even left-wing journalists like Chris Cuomo are starting to realize something is up.
