Kamala Harris can’t afford many slip-ups if she wants to win the White House.

But she may have committed a blunder she won’t have time to recover from.

And all hell broke loose over Kamala Harris making this huge mistake.

Night one of the Democrat Convention was a disaster

The first night of the Democratic National Convention proved to be a debacle.

Since this was Vice President Kamala Harris’ convention, her team approved all the speakers and speeches.

Democrats insulted President Biden one last time by pushing his speech to nearly 11:30 PM.

Thousands of pro-Hamas protestors caused security disruptions that led to empty seats on TV when the primetime program began at 9 PM.

But one thing stood out about the opening night.

And that was the fact that attacks on former President Donald Trump dominated the proceedings and there was little mention about what policies Kamala would pursue if elected.

This played into the GOP’s hands.

Kamala Harris is still largely undefined to a lot of voters.

Donald Trump and his campaign want to cement an image of voters that she is a dangerously weak San Francisco liberal.

The Democrats using night one of a four-day infomercial to attack Trump and not present their own image of Harris could be a massive strategic mistake.

That will allow the Trump campaign to use the rallies Trump and his running mate, U.S. Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH), are holding this week as well as their paid advertising in the form of TV commercials to define Kamala Harris on their terms.

Other Democrat blunders

CNN commentator and former Trump advisor David Urban detailed the other ways night one fell flat.

Urban said the convention played to the base with extremist positions on abortion.

Joe Biden also repeated his greatest hits of lies about Donald Trump including the
“very fine people” and “bloodbath” hoaxes.

“My quick take on the first night of @DemConvention: 1) poor production and even worse execution; 2) nothing for swing voters in swing states; 3) fact checked statements re: program length; ‘Project 2025’; abortion; and ‘good people,’” Urban wrote on X.

The party that stages the best nominating convention usually wins the election.

That’s because four days of unmatched media exposure gives each party the chance to frame the election on their terms.

The Republican convention was universally praised for how well run and on message it was.
