Donald Trump is on a mission to shake up Washington.

The corruption is out of control.

And what this top Democrat just said is music to Donald Trump’s ears.

Joe Biden opened up a can of worms by pardoning Hunter Biden for any crime he may have committed between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024.

POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin reported that Biden may not be done with corrupt pardons to shield family members and loyalists from criminal prosecution.

Dr. Anothony Fauci, former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, brother James Biden and members of the January 6 Committee may be on the pardon list.

Biden fears that the Trump Justice Department won’t turn a blind eye to alleged criminal conduct like his weaponized Justice Department did.

CNN host Jim Acosta raised the possibility of a pardon with January 6 Committee Chairman Bennie Thompson (D-MS).

“Trump is saying you should go to jail,” Acosta began. “Are you worried about him or the FBI coming after you?”

Thompson referenced the speech and debate clause, which protects members in their official capacity, but it wouldn’t shield them from the obstruction of justice allegations Trump and others leveled over the committee destroying records ahead of the GOP takeover of the House of Representatives following the 2022 midterm election.

“Well, you know, we are members of Congress. We operate based on our direction from Congress. There are specific laws that give security to members of Congress. I hope the president will take that into consideration. But to be honest with you, Jim, we’ve not done anything wrong,” Thompson stated.

Acosta then asked Thomspon if he wanted the President to pardon him.

“Apparently, the White House is discussing preemptive pardons for people who may be targeted by Trump when he gets back in office,” Acosta added. “Do you want the president to offer some kind of pardon to you?”

Thompson stunned Americans by saying he would accept a pardon.

“The president, it’s his prerogative. If he offers it, to me or other members of the committee, I think it – I would accept it, but it’s his choice. I think the staff of the committee did a wonderful job; I think the witnesses who were primarily Republicans did a great job under oath,” Thompson stated.

Many Americans wondered why Thomspon would be willing to accept a pardon for crimes he said he didn’t commit.

Thomspon – and others on the January 6 Committee – accepting a blanket and pre-emptive pardon could also end up accomplishing Donald Trump’s goals.

The Biden Justice Department argued in court that any January 6 defendant that accepts a pardon means they are confessing their guilt.

“[A] pardon at some unspecified date in the future … would not unring the bell of conviction,” Biden Justice Department prosecutors argued. “In fact, quite the opposite. The defendant would first have to accept the pardon, which necessitates a confession of guilt.”

If Thompson, Schiff, Cheney, Fauci, and others accept a pardon from Biden, then Trump could argue that by accepting these pardons they confessed to the crimes Trump said they committed.

Trump would get a confession of guilt without having to put anyone on trial.
