The polls were wrong in the 2016 and 2020 Elections.

Will the polls miss again for the third straight time?

Now, John Fetterman is scared to death the pollsters are making this giant error about Trump.

Democrats grow nervous about the polls

The 2016 Election saw pollsters miss former President Donald Trump’s white working-class support in the Midwest.

2020 saw the biggest polling error in 40 years.

That’s why Democrats take no comfort in polls showing Vice President Kamala Harris leading Trump.

Public polls show Kamala with a slight lead over him.

But even Democrat Senators aren’t buying the hype.

U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) admitted polls have never accurately captured the Trump phenomenon and that’s why he thinks the former President has a better chance than most think of winning Pennsylvania.

“Polling has really been seriously damaged since 2016. And that’s one of the truths, is that Trump is going to be tough in Pennsylvania, and that’s absolutely the truth,” Fetterman told reporters.

U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock (D-GA) agreed and said a polling error was well within the realm of possibility.

“We know this election is going to be close. It’s going to be close in the battleground states, including Georgia, which is why I’m doing everything I can to make sure we put Georgia in our column,” Warnock stated. “The only poll that matters is November 5, right?

“We talk about margin of error for a reason,” Warnock added.

A third Democrat – who requested anonymity to speak freely – told The Hill the fact that Kamala was polling worse than President Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton were in 2020 and 2016 gave him great cause for concern.

“That’s ominous. There’s no question that is concerning, but you’re working as hard as you can work, no matter what. My sense there’s not a lot more you can do than we’re already doing,” the Senator told The Hill.

The Senator said the only reason he can come up with for pollsters missing out on Trump supporters is because of the social stigma of backing Trump and cancel culture.

“The only thing I can come up with is that people do feel embarrassed,” the Senator added. “Most of what he preaches, most of us have taught our children to try to not be that way on the playground. So there’s a certain amount of reluctance to admit I’m going to vote for somebody whose conduct I tell my children is wrong.”

An example of pollsters likely missing Trump supporters

The polls missing Trump supporters might be taking place in John Fetterman’s backyard.

A New York Times/Siena/Philadelphia Inquirer poll found Kamala leading Trump in Pennsylvania 50 to 46.

But the cross tabs showed evidence of the polls missing Trump supporters.

Kamala leads Trump 50 to 47 among voters over the age of 65.

But he won this group in Pennsylvania by 7 points in 2020.

What could account for this discrepancy?

The Times poll showed Trump beating Kamala 62 to 35 with white noncollege-educated voters.

The biggest cohort in the electorate without a college degree will be voters over the age of 65.

That means the Times poll of Pennsylvania likely picked up too many college-educated seniors tipping the sample in Kamala’s favor.
