Bill Maher says woke Left costing Kamala Harris the election 

Comedian Bill Maher has been a critic of the woke Left for years.

He spoke out against COVID fanaticism, transgender ideology, critical race theory, and censorship.

But now Maher thinks the chickens are coming to roost after polls show Vice President Kamala Harris falling behind former President Donald Trump.

The Wall Street Journal’s most recent poll found Kamala’s favorability rating dropping eight points in a month.

Maher told MSNBC host Joe Scarborough that the stridency and prominence of the American Left across the entertainment, political, and cultural institutions in America risks alienating voters who see Kamala as one with this mob.

“Kamala’s big, I think, challenge here to win over the undecided voters, is to convince them that she’s not part of what they suspect she might be, sort of a stealth version of the worst excesses of the Left,” Maher stated.

“I am tired of the extremes and the extremists who dominate the debate,” Maher said in the interview.

Kamala twisted herself into pretzels in trying to defend her past position of supporting taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries for prisoners.

Trump’s campaign hammered Kamala with tens of millions of dollars in TV ads on this issue and all she could come up with as a response was “I will follow the law.”

Special Report anchor Brett Baier grilled her on this topic in her Fox News interview and she got flustered.

Kamala never addressed the question and falsely claimed Trump’s administration supported transgender surgeries for prisoners.

“I think [Trump] spent $20 million on those ads trying to create a sense of fear in the voters because he actually has no plan in this election that is about focusing on the needs of the American people,” Kamala said. “$20 million on that ad, on an issue that, as it relates to the biggest issues that affect the American people, it’s really quite remote. And again, his policy was no different.”

In fact, the Trump Bureau of Prisons fought to make changes to the policy and went to court over it. 

There were no transgender surgeries for prisoners under Donald Trump.

The first taxpayer-funded transgender surgery for prisoners took place in 2022 under the Biden-Harris administration.

Kamala wants moderate voters to think she won’t govern from the Left.

But she won’t offer any policy concessions to the middle and instead continues to demand everyone accept her radical Left agenda simply on the basis of not being Trump.

That won’t work because Kamala is the incumbent and has a record to defend.

The fact that she can’t distance herself as something as obviously unpopular as taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries from violent criminals is why her campaign is wheezing its way to the finish line.
