Adam Schiff and Joe Biden worked hand in glove for four years.

But at the bitter end Biden was forced to make a choice.

And Adam Schiff is going to hate the trap Joe Biden just set for him.

Joe Biden’s preemptive pardons

POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin reported that the pardon Joe Biden handed out to Hunter Biden is just the beginning of a pardon spree.

Martin reported that Joe Biden loyalists like Liz Cheney, Adam Schiff, and Dr. Anthony Fauci are all under consideration for preemptive pardons before Biden leaves office.

“Those who could face exposure include such members of Congress’ Jan. 6 Committee as Sen.-elect Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming. Trump has previously said Cheney “should go to jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!” Also mentioned by Biden’s aides for a pardon is Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who became a lightning rod for criticism from the right during the Covid-19 pandemic,” Martin wrote in a bombshell column.

Donald Trump telling NBC’s Kristen Welker that members of the January 6 committee belong in jail – although Trump did say he wouldn’t direct his Attorney General to prosecute the likes of Schiff and Cheney – only heightened worries on the left that some of their allies would face accountability for their actions.

Schiff claimed he didn’t want a pardon on Biden’s way out the door.

“I would urge the president not to do that,” Schiff stated. “I think it would seem defensive and unnecessary.”

But Schiff not wanting a pardon may have more to do with what accepting a pardon means.

Several January 6 defendants are asking judges to delay proceedings in their cases due to the fact that Donald Trump  promised day one pardons for victims of Joe Biden’s weaponized Justice Department and FBI.

One of these January 6 defendants is Dova Winegeart.

Winegeart requested a judge postpone a sentencing hearing until after the inauguration on account of Trump’s pardon promise.

The Biden Justice Department responded in court that any January 6 defendant who accepts a pardon is confessing their guilt to the crimes of which they were accused.

“[A] pardon at some unspecified date in the future … would not unring the bell of conviction,” the Biden Justice Department contended. “In fact, quite the opposite. The defendant would first have to accept the pardon, which necessitates a confession of guilt.”

But what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

If Biden’s Justice Department is going to argue that a January 6 defendant accepting Trump’s pardon is an admission of guilt, then the same principle applies to Hunter Biden and anyone else that Joe Biden may pardon.

By this standard, Hunter Biden accepting the pardon from his father is accepting guilt for any crime he may have committed back to 2014.

The same principle would apply to Adam Schiff, which is likely why he isn’t too keen on Biden handing down a pardon.
