Adam Schiff’s attacks on the Constitution are reaching unhinged levels.

But he bit off way more than he could chew.

And Adam Schiff is about to suffer this brutal defeat at the Supreme Court.

Adam Schiff’s attack on the Supreme Court invites scrutiny

The easiest way to build credibility on the Left right now is attacking the Supreme Court.

Democrats don’t control the Supreme Court so they now want to destroy it.

President Joe Biden proposed a term limits scheme that would immediately boot Justices John Roberts, Clarence Thomas, and Samuel Alito off the bench.

Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) just launched his own front in the Left’s war on the Supreme Court.

Schiff proposed the Judicial FOIA Expansion Act which will allow the public access to the justice’s private communications.

“Increasing transparency within the judiciary is a crucial step towards restoring the people’s trust in our justice system,” Schiff stated.

“My Judicial FOIA Expansion Act will provide the American people greater insight into the inner workings of courts by providing public and journalistic access to the Judiciary’s administrative records. This reform and others are increasingly necessary to begin to restore faith in our judicial branch,” Schiff added.

Schiff’s bill faces real constitutional issues.

If the Supreme Court simply decides a case brought over Schiff’s bill on the merits it will swiftly strike it down on the grounds of separation of power.

“On one hand, the Court, which is the final arbiter of such things, might look on Schiff’s bill as a violation of constitutional separation of powers, at least to the extent it would, in the Court’s view, interfere with the Court’s deliberations,” New York University Law Professor Stephen Gillers told Newsweek.

Why the Supreme Court could uphold the Schiff bill

In the past, Democrats have successfully jawboned conservative justices into upholding their unlawful power grabs.

Former President Barack Obama bullying John Roberts to switch his vote and say Obamacare passed constitutional muster is one example.

In this case, Democrats and the media relentlessly attacked the court as illegitimate due to fake scandals the Left invented surrounding Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas.

Gillers argued the court may seek to mollify its critics who claim the court faces a legitimacy crisis by supposedly ruling in favor of so-called “transparency.”

“The Court’s reputation is justifiably suffering now. It must be receptive to the public’s desire for confidence in its work,” Gillers added.

“It must avoid what is easily, and at times fairly, seen as a knee jerk, even an arrogant, dismissal of the public interest,” Gillers concluded.

There is no crisis of legitimacy with the court.

The drop in trust is entirely contained to Democrats who hate that the court issues rulings it disagrees with.

The real purpose of this bill is to give the left-wing media a means to effectively spy on the conservative justices and invent new fake scandals to claim they should recuse themselves from any major case the Left stands a chance of losing.
