Kamala Harris is doing her best not to lay out a policy agenda.

This is her version of the basement campaign and her handlers are running it for a reason.

And that’s because Kamala Harris annoyed every American by saying she wanted to ban this common item.

Kamala Harris’ campaign tries to walk back plastic straw ban

Among the host of woke, leftist policy proposals Vice President Kamala Harris embraced in her failed 2020 Presidential campaign was a ban on plastic straws.

“I think we could do a little bit better than some of those flimsy [paper] straws, but we do need to ban the plastic,” Kamala Harris said during a CNN town hall event.

Democrat elites like Kamala don’t eat in fast food restaurants and they want to ban plastic straws in the name of climate change.

Kamala Harris and her California crew don’t care about the obvious downside of putting a paper straw in a giant container filled with liquid.

Critics contend that all they care about is patting themselves on the back for doing something they can say is saving the planet.

Now that Kamala is running in a General Election having been installed as the Democrat nominee via a coup, she is trying to retcon her entire political persona.

The Kamala Harris campaign is now claiming that she doesn’t support a ban on plastic straws.

“She doesn’t support banning plastic straws,” Axios’ Alex Thompson reported.

But is Kamala Harris actually changing her position?

Her campaign saying she no longer supports a ban on plastic straws isn’t the same thing as Kamala Harris saying she no longer supports a ban on plastic straws.

Kamala tried to play this shell game throughout the campaign where anonymous aides sent out press releases claiming she no longer supports some looney Left position she took in 2020.

Axios let Kamala Harris get away with pulling this trick on her previous support for banning private health insurance.

Thompson wrote that Kamala’s campaign claimed she no longer supported a government takeover of health care.

“A Harris campaign aide explained to Axios that she’s no longer pushing Medicare for All because of what she learned during her four years of experience in the White House, and seeing how the Biden administration has expanded coverage through the Affordable Care Act,” Thompson reported.

The press lets her campaign say that Kamala changed all her positions because it allows the candidate to avoid scrutiny.

Kamala doesn’t have to explain why she once supported banning plastic straws and why she no longer does.

Forcing her to outline the reasoning behind her shifting views means she would have to talk.

And the media and Kamala Harris’ handlers know the greater her exposure is to voters, the less chance she has of winning the election.
