Joe Biden is having high level meetings about this group of RINOs ready to betray the GOP
There is a segment of the Republican Party that refused to embrace Donald Trump.
These Never-Trumpers waited for years for their moment to strike.
And now Joe Biden is having high level meetings about this group of RINOs ready to betray the GOP.
In every Presidential campaign, both sides prepare for the transition and how they will staff their administration if they win the election.
2020 is no different.
Donald Trump is planning for a second term and Joe Biden is prepping for a transition to his administration.
And Biden’s team is vetting high profile Never-Trumpers like Jeff Flake, John Kasich, Charlie Baker, and Meg Whitman as possible cabinet selections in a Biden second term.
That person and another official familiar with the transition deliberations confirmed to POLITICO that Biden staffers are analyzing some Republicans’ backgrounds and resumes as they compile shortlists of candidates for high-profile Cabinet positions. The goal is to have some GOP options among the finalists that Biden would choose from after the election.
Among the names being floated for possible Biden Cabinet posts are Meg Whitman, the CEO of Quibi and former CEO of eBay, and former Ohio Gov. John Kasich, both of whom spoke at August’s Democratic National Convention. Massachusetts GOP Gov. Charlie Baker and former Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) have also been mentioned, as has former Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.), who resigned from Congress in 2018 and became a lobbyist.
Many Never-Trumpers claimed they opposed Trump in 2016 because they did not believe Trump would govern as a conservative.
Trump governed as the most conservative President in many Americans’ lifetimes.
These Never-Trumpers were always liberals to begin with and were just looking for an offramp from the Republican Party.
And potentially working to help Joe Biden implement his socialist agenda is proof they were all just liberals from the start.
