Back in the days of Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, and Dave Letterman, the hosts of late-night talk shows made fun of both Republicans and Democrats.

But that all changed in the era of hosts like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel.

And Jimmy Kimmel humiliated himself with this awful joke about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship.

Late-night talk shows have become Democrat propaganda

Hosts like Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel have turned late-night TV into a Trump-bashing, conservative-hating program that is mostly watched by leftists.

On his show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, host Jimmy Kimmel has made a career out of attacking and smearing former President Donald Trump while pushing the Democrats’ left-wing agenda.

Of course, Trump has made it clear that he is no fan of Kimmel.

On April 17, he slammed “stupid Jimmy Kimmel” and referred to him as a “horrendous” late-night TV host.

He also pointed out that late-night TV ratings have been declining since Kimmel started hosting his show ABC.

Jimmy Kimmel botches joke about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

But even when Kimmel isn’t making fun of Trump or conservatives, he still lacks a sense of humor in his opening monologues.

He recently decided to joke about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship.

Swift’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was one of the biggest stories of last year’s NFL season, as television networks devoted extra coverage to her appearing at the games to root for her boyfriend.

Kimmel took a swipe at the fact that Swift makes far more money than Kelce.

Kelce recently became the highest-paid tight end in the NFL with a $34 million contract extension.

Of course, $34 million is far more than 99.9% of Americans will earn in a lifetime.

But Taylor Swift is the most popular entertainer on the planet.

Last year, Forbes estimated her net worth to be $1.1 billion.

After spending the first nine minutes talking solely about Donald Trump, Kimmel congratulated Kelce for securing a multimillion-dollar, two-year deal with the Chiefs.

“Congratulations to Travis Kelce,” he said. “Travis Kelce signed a two-year contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs and he is now the highest-paid tight end in the NFL, deservedly.”

But Kimmel then made fun of how much less he makes than his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

“So his new contract is worth $34 million, or as Taylor Swift calls it, gum money,” Kimmel said. “Can you imagine being in a relationship where you make $34 million and you’re still the broke boyfriend?”

“I’m not sure if he’s a football player or a kitten,” Kimmel said about Kelce.

He called dating Taylor Swift a “weird thing” before pointing out that she is the “first artist in history to occupy all of the top 14 spots on Billboard’s Hot 100 list.”

Kimmel’s salary is roughly $15 million per year.

Although it’s a lot of money, it’s half of what Kelce just signed for and that doesn’t include endorsements and income from his podcast.

Kimmel can’t even be funny when he’s not attacking Trump or smearing his supporters as racist, violent, dangerous extremists.
