Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez issued one warning that turned into a career-killing lie
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is dug in.
The freshman Congresswoman is using every tool at her disposal to push a socialist takeover of the United States.
But Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez issued one warning that turned into a career-killing lie.
So-called “climate change” is the lynchpin of the socialist agenda.
Leftists like Ocasio-Cortez use the manufactured threat of so-called “global warming” to impose massive lifestyle choices on the American people, such as population control and banning hamburgers, fossil fueled cars, and airplane travel.
Plus, they will hype any weather event to scare Americans into accepting their environmental tyranny.
Ocasio-Cortez used Hurricane Dorian to falsely claim that so-called “climate change” caused the storm’s lethal intensity.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — an outspoken proponent of the Green New Deal — tweeted footage of the destruction caused by Hurricane Dorian and warned that it is exactly “what climate change looks like.”
Hurricane Dorian, formally a powerful Category 5 storm, battered the Bahamas for days, leaving at least seven dead along with a devastating path of destruction. Ocasio-Cortez attempted to use the natural disaster to push for climate change-related action.
“This is what climate change looks like,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote alongside a video showing the devastation in the Bahamas.
“It hits vulnerable communities first. I can already hear climate deniers screeching: ‘It’s always been like this! You’re dim,’ etc. No. This is about science & leadership. We either decarbonize&cut emissions, or we don’t & let people die.”
This is clearly a lie.
Hurricanes have always existed and posed a threat to humans that lived in their path.
Democrats are embracing Ocasio-Cortez’s radicalism on so-called “climate change” because it is popular with their base.
At a CNN climate town hall, candidates came out in favor of banning plastic straws, changing dietary guidelines to reduce meat consumption, government buybacks of cars, and massive carbon tax increases.
It was the greatest gift Donald Trump’s re-election campaign could have received.
