Alvin Bragg’s criminal case against Donald Trump isn’t going according to plan.

The Democrat District Attorneys’ trial is unraveling.

And Alvin Bragg heard one awful word about a witness that will leave him in shambles.

Another witness helps Trump

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg called Stormy Daniels’ former lawyer Keith Davidson to the stand.

Davidson also represented former Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal who also claimed an affair with Trump.

The National Enquirer paid $150,000 for McDougal’s story.

Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement.

Bragg wanted Davidson to put some meat on the bones of his fantastical claim that these payments were part of an uncharged criminal conspiracy by former President Donald Trump to steal the 2016 Election.

But when Davidson left the witness stand, even the legal analysts on MSNBC had to admit that his testimony accrued to Trump’s benefit.

How Davidson’s testimony backfired on Alvin Bragg

Former assistant New York State Attorney General Adam Pollock told MSNBC’s Katy Tur that Davidson was a “difficult” witness for Bragg.

“I think Davidson is one in a line of difficult witnesses that already come before and are going to be coming in this trial,” Pollock stated.

He said one of the issues of this case is the reality of tabloid journalism.

Davidson’s testimony confirmed much of what former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker testified to which is that it’s common practice for tabloids to buy stories about celebrities either for leverage or to bury them.

“This is a messy trial, and sort of gives us all an insight, a crack into what this sordid world is about between the National Enquirer and selling stories. It’s not pretty to watch,” Pollack added.

MSNBC legal analyst Catherine Christian said Davidson was “helpful” to Trump.

Davidson admitted that he represented an assortment of women who made allegations against Charlie Sheen.

The Los Angeles-based attorney also shopped a sex tape involving WWE legend Hulk Hogan that eventually led to Hogan winning a multi-million dollar lawsuit that shut down Gawker, the site that published the video.

“He was helpful in that he established that there was a payoff and he negotiated with Michael Cohen, but he was helpful to the defense because he has, particularly since the prosecution didn’t bring out some of his bad acts on their direct examination, he appears to be in the defense view, just a lawyer who shakes down people, whether it was Hulk Hogan or other people,” Christian began.

Christian said Davidson also opened a new line of defense for Trump to say that this payoff to Daniels was really the result of an extortion scheme that Daniels and Davidson sprung on Trump knowing this was their moment of maximum leverage.

“That’s what he did and maybe that’s what happened here. That’s what the defense will say. This was a shake down of Donald Trump. This wasn’t about paying someone as an illegal campaign contribution. This was a shake down, and Michael Cohen, it’s an understatement to say how difficult of a witness he is for the prosecution.

Commentators on CNN also admitted Bragg produced no evidence that Trump participated in any conspiracy to steal the election.

If you are a Democrat prosecutor and the analysts in CNN and MSNBC are all backing Donald Trump it goes to show how blindingly obvious it was that this case never should have been brought in the first place.
