Trump just asked Brett Kavanaugh to do one thing that will change 2020

The Democrat Party can’t stand the fact that Brett Kavanaugh is on the Supreme Court.

They did everything they could to block him to no avail.

And Trump just asked Kavanaugh to do one thing that will change 2020.

Outside of their impeachment hoax succeeding, there may be nothing Democrats want to see happen to Trump more than his tax records being exposed.

They want his tax returns, in the hope they can dig up some sort of dirt on him.

If they can secure his tax returns, they will have a much better idea of how his finances look and the media will have a field day spinning them negatively no matter what they contain.

That’s why Democrats made it their mission to get Trump’s tax returns a subpoenaed.

And Obama and Clinton appointed judges helped secured it for them.

That’s why Trump just asked the Supreme Court, with Kavanaugh as their newest Justice, to block the subpoena.

Breitbart News reports:

“President Donald Trump is asking the Supreme Court to block a subpoena for his tax returns, in a test of the president’s ability to defy investigations.

The filing Thursday sets the stage for a high court showdown over the tax returns Trump has refused to release, unlike every other modern president. The justices also could weigh in more broadly on Trump’s claim that sitting presidents can’t be prosecuted or investigated for crimes.

He wants the court to decide the case by late June, under a deal to keep the Manhattan district attorney from enforcing the subpoena in the meantime. The returns are held by Trump’s accountants.

A second, similar case is headed to the court over a House committee subpoena demanding Trump’s financial records from the same accounting firm.”

At the end of the day, Democrats want Trump’s tax returns hoping they’ll find something they can attack him with.

And with him being as rich as he is, they almost certainly will find something they can use as an attack, whether or not he actually did anything wrong.

When all’s said and done, it should be Trump’s decision whether to release them.

And voters already elected him, despite the fact that his tax returns are not public.

I agree, John. I also believe that every congressman and all those serving in Washington should produce their tax returns first. Maybe all civil servants in every state should make their tax returns available to any who wish to see them. This should include all candidates for all offices too. Boy ! I bet that would be a big eyeopener. I also think maybe the IRS should be an open book. That would be a hoot too. OH yea, and anyone with questionable returns should then have to show their spouse’s and children’s returns as well. All this should be done before President Trump discloses his returns. Any one want to see my tax returns? What do you think?

Candidates for President of the United States have done all sorts of things as a courtesy. What does that matter? Nobody is obligated to publish his or her tax records just because somebody asks of it. A government, however, can create an obligation for these things to be presented to specific civil services or the military, under limited conditions.

There is the supremacy clause indeed in the fifth article of the Constitution of the United States, and not at all does it absolve the federal government of it responsibility to obey the tenth amendment. The Supreme Court of the United States is, even though the court of last resort, a mere court. The executive branch becomes responsible for interpreting case law, until it is the judicial branch’s turn again for that. The final say in anything of law belongs to the constitutional amendment processes (per the fifth article) or a controversial Constitutional Convention, either case assuming a constitutional law question would be at hand, rather than a statutory question.

Well, just to be clear, all warrants must be beholden to the fourth amendment, all court orders must be beholden to the fifth amendment, and all subpoenas must be beholden to the sixth amendment. Furthermore, legislatures are forbidden from making “ex post facto” laws or ratifying bills of attainder. Apart from that, there is nothing protecting the tax records of Donald Trump or any United States President from seizure that would not also protect the same in regards to any other United States citizen. He is not above the law. Also, please note that the State government of New York has jurisdiction over State tax records of New York, regardless of feedback from the United States government. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Democrats need Trump’s taxes ’cause they know they can’t remove him from office so they have to try and make him look as dirty as possible for the next election.

“Presidents aren’t required by law to release their tax returns. Nevertheless, between 1974 and 2012, every president but Gerald Ford has made a voluntary release of the tax returns they filed while in office. ” (TaxNotes, 11-19-2019). Enough said.

  18. CHRIS HINES says:

Kavanaugh will vote how he sees the law regardless of what Trump or anyone else says. Everyone knows the reason Dems want his taxes and thats to be used against him just because they hate him so much. This is not a reason to release them and hopefully the court sees it as such.

  19. Tony says:

Trumpet is hiding his tax, most likely because it will show his mega loans from foreign sources.

  20. David Andrew Heath says:

All congress should release their returns and profits made from capital gains so we can see how they line their pockets as they pass or not pass legislation.
