Rashida Tlaib defends pro-Hamas mobs on college campuses
The pro-Hamas Left is growing increasingly strident and violent on college campuses across America.
A Rabbi sent a message warning Jewish students they needed to evacuate Columbia University after hostile pro-Hamas protestors stalked Jewish students and menaced them with “go back to Poland” – the site of the worst evils of the Holocaust – chants.
Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) – who’s repeated the genocidal pro-Palestine chant “from the river to the sea” – defended these thugs and hooligans.
In a post on X, Tlaib attacked college administrators – even the leadership of her home state’s University of Michigan – finally saying enough is enough and cracking down on terrorist supporters threatening Jewish students.
“From UM to Vanderbilt to USC to Columbia, students across our country are being retaliated against for using their constitutional rights to protest genocide. It’s appalling,” Tlaib wrote. “Our country isn’t just complicit in this genocide — we’re actively participating in it.”
College administrators crack down on protests
University of Michigan President Santa J. Ono drew his line in the sand after a pro-Palestinian mob disrupted the 100-year-old tradition of the school’s honors convocation by unfurling banners and chanting.
“Like many of you, I am proud of our university’s history of protest,” Ono stated. “But none of us should be proud of what happened on Sunday.”
Ono then announced the school would devise a new policy to allow officials to discipline students who disrupt events.
Stanford University declared that it would ban the tent city protests that are popping up on college campuses coast to coast.
“The events in Gaza and Israel from Oct. 7 onward have been a source of great pain and concern for many members of our Stanford community. Recently the university announced that overnight camping would no longer be allowed in White Plaza, consistent with university policy, out of concern for the health and safety of our students. We support the continued peaceful expression of free speech and advocacy in White Plaza, consistent with the university’s time, place, and manner provisions,” a statement from the school read.
None of these protests where pro-Palestinian mobs threaten violence against Jewish students or otherwise shut down campuses are taking place in red states with Republican governors.
Pro-Palestinian thugs are running roughshod over schools in blue states where they know Democrat mayors and governors will allow them free run.
But even their normal allies in campus administration are appalled by the thuggish display of these activists, which now legitimately threaten the lives of their fellow students.
And in what is sure to sting for the woke mob, school Presidents are now adopting an “all lives matter” posture.
