This smoking gun proved Joe Biden lied to the American people about Afghanistan

Joe Biden is trying to deflect blame for his failure in Afghanistan.

But passing the buck came back to haunt Biden.

And someone leaked this smoking gun proving Joe Biden lied to the American people about Afghanistan.

In a speech on Monday, Joe Biden claimed no one could have foresaw that the Taliban would take over Afghanistan so quickly.

“I stand squarely behind my decision. After 20 years, I’ve learned the hard way that there was never a good time to withdraw US forces,” Biden stated. “That’s why we’re still there. We were clear-eyed about the risks. We planned for every contingency. But I always promised the American people I would be straight with you. The truth is, this did unfold more quickly than we had anticipated.”

Woke General Mark Milley – who once compared Trump to Adolph Hitler and his supporters to Nazi brownshirts – claimed he never saw any intelligence that indicated the Afghan government would fall so quickly.

Their comments upset Deep State leakers who felt Biden and Milley unfairly shifted blame for their failures in judgment onto them.

That’s how the Wall Street Journal ended up with a scoop that on July 13, State Department officials in Kabul cabled Secretary of State Anthony Blinken warning of a rapid collapse of the Afghan government after the U.S. withdrew its military forces.

The Wall Street Journal reported:

About two dozen State Department officials serving at the embassy in Kabul sent an internal memo to Secretary of State Antony Blinken and another top State Department official last month warning of the potential collapse of Kabul soon after the Aug. 31 troop withdrawal deadline, according to a U.S. official and a person familiar with the cable . . .

. . . The cable, dated July 13, also called for the State Department to use tougher language in describing the atrocities being committed by the Taliban. The classified cable represents the clearest evidence yet that the administration had been warned by its own officials on the ground that the Taliban’s advance was imminent and Afghanistan’s military may be unable to stop it.

Top Biden officials had intelligence in hand that the Afghan government could not protect American citizens on the ground and they either ignored it or passed it up the chain and Joe Biden dismissed it.
