Shaq just humiliated LeBron with this bold statement
NBA all-time great Shaquille O’Neal is known for his care-free personality.
But Shaq put aside his antics for a piece of very important commentary.
And Shaq just embarrassed LeBron James with this bold statement.
So-called “woke” members of the NBA were recently exposed as frauds.
Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey tweeted in support of the Hong Kong protesters fighting for freedom against aggression from mainland China’s communist government.
China’s communist regime is very big on propaganda and protection of its image, so Morey was harshly rebuked for his benign tweet.
There was even speculation that China pressured Houston to fire Morey.
Prominent NBA personalities immediately bent the knee to the Chinese, the main one being future Hall of Famer LeBron James.
James ripped Morey for being “uneducated” on the issue and essentially sided with China’s authoritarian crackdown of language.
But Shaq was having none of it.
O’Neal said on TNT:
“One of our best values here in America is free speech — we’re allowed to say what we want to say and we are allowed to speak out on injustices and that’s just how it goes and if people don’t understand that that’s something they have to deal with.
[…] “It was unfortunate for both parties, and you’ve got people speaking out about something they don’t know what they’re talking about…Daryl Morey was right — whenever you see something going on anywhere in the world, you should have the right to say, ‘That’s not right.'”
“Peking” James couldn’t find the courage to stand up for free speech against an authoritarian regime that literally throws religious people in re-education camps, but he’s quick to criticize Donald Trump, which takes zero courage at all.
James’ attitude is pervasive on the Left, which holds deep-seated animosity toward American values and deference toward other cultures.
Ask yourself if James would ever behave this way during another country’s national anthem:

Good for Shaq for speaking up in support of Morey and in support of free speech.
Meanwhile, “Peking” James virtue-signals about not going to the White House if he wins a championship, but has no problem setting foot in China, despite their numerous human rights abuses.
