Mike Pence and his allies in the GOP establishment aren’t taking the 2024 GOP Primary as a sign that the conservative base is on board with Donald Trump’s agenda.

To Pence and his donors, the fight is just beginning.

And Mike Pence just announced this $20 million challenge to Donald Trump.

Former Vice President Pence announced the formation of the American Solutions Project, a group backed by $20 million in donor class funding and dedicated to maintaining the Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan version of the Republican Party.

Pence made sure everyone knew the group was a direct attack on former President Donald Trump and his supporters claiming the “Constitution and the American experiment” were at risk from “movements or personalities.”

“Our nation was founded on conservative principles that have stood the test of time. The Constitution and this great American experiment must not be swayed by movements or personalities but must hold fast to the time-honored principles that have made America strong and prosperous and free,” Pence declared.

The American Solutions Project is dedicated to restoring a version of the GOP that voters continually rejected by demanding the Republican Party maintain its fealty to “free trade” and a commitment to funneling taxpayer money to Ukraine.

The group claimed America faced “a future of isolation and appeasement” and that it would “support our partners in Ukraine and Israel in a fiscally responsible manner.”

Donald Trump won the 2016 GOP nomination and the White House campaigning against the Washington, D.C. “Swamp” consensus on globalist trade deals, open borders, and endless foreign wars.

The elites that ran the Republican Party up until that point never realized they were out of touch with their own voters.

Pence and his “Swamp” donors still clearly haven’t absorbed the message as they are continuing to push the idea that securing the border in Ukraine is America’s number one responsibility and that shipping American jobs to Mexico and Communist China is a net benefit to the country.

The Republican establishment and its financial backers want a return to the “good old days.”

And they see Mike Pence and his new group as one of their vehicles to try and purge Donald Trump and his supporters from the GOP.
