Hunter Biden is going on offense.

His target is the usual Democrat Party boogeyman.

And now Hunter Biden just picked this ugly fight with Fox News.

Hunter Biden threatens to sue Fox News

The Left has weaponized defamation laws to target conservatives by filing lawsuits in friendly jurisdictions where Democrat judges and juries will side with their claims.

Dominion Voting Systems, E. Jean Carroll, and a pair of Atlanta election workers were the beneficiaries of this plan to turn defamation law into a means of financially bankrupting the political opposition.

Hunter Biden is the next one into this game as his lawyer Mark Geragos delivered an April 23 letter to Fox News threatening a defamation lawsuit.

Geragos accused Fox News of engaging in a “conspiracy and subsequent actions to defame Mr. Biden and paint him in a false light, the unlicensed commercial exploitation of his image, name, and likeness, and the unlawful publication of hacked intimate images of him.”

The letter cited the arrest of FBI informant Alexander Smirnov – who was the source of the allegation that Burisma paid then-Vice President Joe Biden a $5 million bribe – as evidence Fox News peddled false claims about Hunter Biden.

“For the last five years, Fox News has relentlessly attacked Hunter Biden and made him a caricature in order to boost ratings and for its financial gain. The recent indictment of FBI informant Smirnov has exposed the conspiracy of disinformation that has been fueled by Fox, enabled by their paid agents and monetized by the Fox enterprise. We plan on holding them accountable,” the letter continued.

Hunter Biden demands on-air apology

One of Hunter Biden’s demands was that multiple hosts issue on-air corrections and apologies.

Geragos said hosts “including Sean Hannity, Jesse Watters, and Maria Bartiromo, to inform their viewers on air that they have been sharing a debunked allegation from a source who has been federally indicted.”

The letter also demanded Fox News take down a six-part The Trial of Hunter Biden series which aired on the Fox Nation streaming service.

This series was a mock trial of Hunter Biden facing charges of bribery and violating the Foreign Agent Registration Act.

Geragos accused Fox News of defaming Hunter Biden in this documentary even though Fox used true information as the basis for the show.

“While using certain true information, the series intentionally manipulates the facts, distorts the truth, narrates happenings out of context, and invents dialogue intended to entertain. Thus, the viewer of the series cannot decipher what is fact and what is fiction” the letter read.

Geragos also accused Fox of airing photographs from Hunter Biden’s laptop that were “hacked.”

If Hunter Biden sues Fox News in New York or Delaware, he will likely get a favorable judge and jury.

Fox News could end up paying out the nose in a case where they have a clear defense, but the politics of the jurisdiction where the lawsuit gets filed makes all of that irrelevant.
