Maxine Waters just got the worst possible news that could end her career

Congresswoman Maxine Waters is the face of the anti-Trump “resistance” in Congress.

She’s doubled down on calls for her supporters to publicly harass Trump administration officials and supporters.

But now Maxine Waters is in hot water after this news broke.

The watchdog organization National Legal and Policy Center has filed an official complaint against Maxine Waters that could get her in big trouble.

This stems from a fundraising scheme that has enriched her family.

Fox News reports:

California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters is facing a new complaint about an obscure fundraising tactic that rakes in thousands from state politicians in exchange for being listed on her slate mailers — this time, involving supporters of a former Los Angeles mayor defeated in the June gubernatorial primary.

The National Legal and Policy Center, a conservative watchdog group, filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission against Waters, her campaign and a pro-charter school group called Families and Teachers for Antonio Villaraigosa — which backed the former Democratic mayor of Los Angeles.

The pro-Villaraigosa group paid $25,000 to the Citizens for Waters Committee on May 25 to include Villaraigosa in her slate mailer, according to the complaint. FEC guidelines, however, say only a candidate’s committee can pay for the mailers — sample ballots traditionally mailed out to about 200,000 voters in Los Angeles highlighting whom Waters supports.

There is another factor that makes these campaign finance violations even more fishy.

The Public Relations firm that mails these sample ballots is owned by Maxine Waters’ daughter.

So not only is she violating campaign finance regulations, but she is filling her daughter’s pockets with campaign cash.

Congresswoman Waters often rallies her supporters on campaign finance reform.

However, she’s been caught red-handed playing fast and loose with unethical fundraising tactics and inappropriately using campaign funds.

If the National Legal Policy Center successfully manages to have the FEC bring formal charges against Waters’ campaign organization, she would face steep fines and consequences.

That could put an end to her career in Congress.
