Ilhan Omar heard one promise about her future that is bad news for Democrats
Ilhan Omar has put the Democrats in a difficult spot.
There is no easy way out.
Now, Ilhan Omar just heard one promise about her future that is bad news for Democrats.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi thought she put Ilhan Omar’s latest anti-Semitic controversy in the rearview mirror after Omar issued a “clarification” for comments she made comparing Israel to murderous terrorist groups like Hamas and the Taliban.
Pelosi is not about to get that lucky.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy appeared on Fox and Friends and promised that if Republicans won back the majority in the House of Representatives next November Republicans would kick Omar and any other anti-Semitic members of Congress off the Foreign Affairs Committee.
👀👀 GOP leader Kevin McCarthy tells Fox & Friends moments ago:
"I will promise you this: If we are fortunate enough to have the majority, Omar would not be serving on Foreign Affairs [Committee] or anybody that has an anti-semitic, anti American view."

Ever since Omar entered Congress in January 2019 her history of – and continued use of – anti-Semitic language created headaches for Democrats.
Omar has repeatedly referred to secret Jewish money manipulating American policy.
Pelosi and her fellow Democrats passed a resolution condemning anti-Semitism but the resolution did not call out Omar by name.
Even after this latest example of Omar exposing herself as a bigot, Pelosi would not take action.
Many suspect Pelosi cowers in fear of Omar and her fellow “Squad” members because the “Squad” holds more juice with the Democrat Party base than Pelosi does.
But Kevin McCarthy made clear on Fox News that if the GOP wins back the majority next November, they will take this matter into their own hands.
