Biden is furious after one Democrat turned on him in the most public way possible
Since getting into office, Joe Biden has thrown all his promises out the window.
That is causing many of his supporters to jump ship and regret voting for him.
And now Biden is furious after one Democrat turned on him in the most public way possible.
On Day One of his presidency, Joe Biden destroyed countless jobs with a series of executive orders.
One brought an end to new oil fracking wells, something he promised not to do, with Vice President Kamala Harris telling voters directly, “Joe Biden will not ban fracking” while on the campaign trail.
Another of his Day One executive orders canceled a permit for the Keystone XL oil pipeline.
These orders both caused immediate devastation for hundreds of towns that rely on oil fracking and the Keystone XL pipeline for almost all of their employment opportunities.
Canada’s radical left-wing Prime Minister even expressed his disappointment with Biden’s Keystone XL pipeline executive order, considering that the pipeline originates in Canada.
And he isn’t alone.
Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia is calling on Biden to reverse his decision.
Manchin is the chairman of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and made his concerns known in a letter to the President, where he asks him to consider what rejecting the pipeline means for safety, jobs, and energy security.
“Ongoing development of responsible energy infrastructure supports your ‘Build Back Better’ priorities by keeping Americans working while strengthening North American economic and energy security,” Manchin wrote to the President. “It is of the utmost importance that the United States maintain that energy security through strategic relationships with our allies rather than increasing reliance on OPEC nations and Russia.”
Manchin has long been a supporter of the Keystone XL pipeline, introducing the original Keystone XL bill in 2012 to approve the pipeline.
The West Virginia Senator heaped praises on President Trump after he signed an executive order to resume its construction.
He understands that the pipeline is vital to ensuring the U.S. is energy independent, instead of being forced to rely on foreign countries for their energy needs.
Some do question Manchin’s actual intentions in being such a staunch supporter of American energy, in contrast with the rest of his party.
If he were to back the rest of his party in their radical environmental crusade it would be career-suicide.
After all, Manchin supports Democrats on most other measures, and is one of the biggest gun control cheerleaders in the Senate, being behind the infamous Manchin-Toomey gun control bill of 2013, which would have banned all private sales of firearms and created a de facto gun registry.
