Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez instantly regretted one video that was the biggest embarrassment of her life
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez couldn’t believe it.
The freshman Congresswoman has a knack for finding herself in the middle of controversy and scandal.
Now, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez instantly regretted one video that was the biggest embarrassment of her life.
Ocasio-Cortez’s signature issue is stopping so-called “climate change.”
Part of this quest is banning fossil fuels.
To that end, Ocasio-Cortez visited a fracking site in Colorado where she falsely claimed her infrared camera caught the site emitting toxic emissions that were warming the plant and had the planet on a ten year collision course with destruction.
The Daily Caller reports:
“I’m in Colorado [with Democrat Rep. Joe Neguse] visiting communities whose air is being poisoned by fracking. What we’re seeing is appalling. Companies are building fracking sites on public lands, across the street from schools + homes. Their toxic emissions are invisible. This camera sees them,” the freshman congresswoman wrote.
Included in her tweet was a video of the fracking facility, along with an infrared camera that, she suggested, caught toxins emanating from the site. The tweet has since garnered over 13,000 retweets.
However, oil and gas experts who spoke to the Daily Caller News Foundation confirmed that the images caught on Ocasio-Cortez’s infrared camera were just heat signatures, not toxic emissions. In fact, they also noted that no fracking is even taking place at this particular site.
There was just one problem.
Ocasio-Cortez fabricated the entire thing.
Experts told The Daily Caller that what Ocasio-Cortez picked up were nothing more than heat signatures.
Ocasio-Cortez’s video about fracking being exposed as a fraud was a fitting allegory of the climate debate.
So-called “climate change” caused by human beings is a hoax.
The Left latched on to this fraud as a Trojan horse to impose socialism on the United States and control every aspect of Americans’ lives.
