The Supreme Court just took a very rare public step.

Leftist media members got some bad news.

And that’s because the Supreme Court just shut down a Fake News Media lie in the most unbelievable way.

Left-wing partisan Nina Totenberg set off an earthquake in the media by reporting that the reason Justice Sonya Sotomayor appeared for oral arguments virtually was because Justice Neil Gorsuch refused to wear a mask, despite Chief Justice John Roberts asking him to don a face covering.

Justice Sotomayor – like all the other Justices – is vaccinated, leading critics to contend that she proved she did not trust the science by attending the meetings virtually.

Totenberg wrote:

Now, though, the situation had changed with the omicron surge, and according to court sources, Sotomayor did not feel safe in close proximity to people who were unmasked. Chief Justice John Roberts, understanding that, in some form asked the other justices to mask up.

They all did. Except Gorsuch, who, as it happens, sits next to Sotomayor on the bench. His continued refusal since then has also meant that Sotomayor has not attended the justices’ weekly conference in person, joining instead by telephone.

Supreme Court Justices rarely address press stories.

But Justices Gorsuch and Sotomayor released a joint statement denying that she ever demanded that he wear a mask.

“Reporting that Justice Sotomayor asked Justice Gorsuch to wear a mask surprised us. It is false. While we may sometimes disagree about the law, we are warm colleagues and friends,” a statement from the Supreme Court read.

Since Totenberg never explicitly stated that Sotomayor requested for Gorsuch to wear a mask, so-called “journalists” claimed the statement did not refute the story.

The Supreme Court then released a second statement directly from Supreme Court Justice John Roberts denying that he ever asked Neil Gorsuch to wear a mask.

“I did not request Justice Gorsuch or any other Justice to wear a mask on the bench,” Justice Roberts’ statement exclaimed.

Polls show the American people increasingly distrust the corporate-controlled media.

There is a good reason for that.
