Rush Limbaugh made this jaw-dropping announcement about his next career move
Rush Limbaugh is America’s self-described anchorman and the most popular voice on all of talk radio.
But some of Limbaugh’s listeners were wondering if he was getting ready to make a change.
And Rush Limbaugh made this jaw-dropping announcement about his next career move.
Limbaugh made waves when he slammed Fox News as the “Never Trump Network” after left-wing hosts like Shepard Smith and Chris Wallace routinely spread fake news and misinformation about Donald Trump.
Within days Smith was out at Fox News asking the network to let him out of his contract.
Conservatives celebrated this development, as Smith was nothing more than a partisan hack passing off his Left-wing political opinions as “news.”
The talk quickly turned to who would replace Smith.
And Limbaugh revealed many of his friends and fans suggested he take over the 3PM hour on Fox News.
But as Limbaugh explained, that would not be in the cards.
A lot of people have said, “Rush, why don’t you, when you finish at 3 o’clock, why don’t you just turn on the camera in there and let Fox hire to you replace Shep Smith. I mean, you could segue from your show to the 3 o’clock audience over at Fox.” You know why this is being suggested, is because Shepard Smith abruptly left the network last week in circumstances that are still a bit cloudy and mysterious.
Folks, let me tell you something. I have nothing left to prove. I’ve been doing this for 30 years. I have built radio stations. I have built audiences. I don’t need to prove I can do that anymore. And the truth of the matter is that the Fox News audience at 3 o’clock — don’t tell anybody. Can you move in a little closer? The Fox News audience at 3 o’clock, it’s one of the most misunderstood — it’s not much. It’s just not much. And, of course, that would never be mentioned as a factor in anything going on.
I appreciate the suggestions. And people were serious about it. But, I must decline, using the same answers in theory I gave to a very great caller last week wondering: Why aren’t you on YouTube video, and why aren’t you on Facebook, and why aren’t you on Twitter? I am right where I belong. I am right where I need to be, and I’m very sated, satisfied with it.
Based on Shepard Smith’s partisanship, dishonesty, and nastiness on the air, almost anyone would be an improvement.
While it might be Rush Limbaugh, Fox News viewers are hoping the network picks a real news anchor to replace Smith.
