America is facing the worst illegal immigration crisis in history.

As Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas is responsible for securing the border.

And Joe Biden blew a gasket after House Republicans voted to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

President Joe Biden opened the border up to a flood of illegal aliens on his first day in the White House.

In December, more than 305,000 illegal aliens were apprehended by Border Patrol agents, the first time ever surpassing 300,000 in a single month.

House Republicans impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas by a vote of 214 to 213.

This was the first cabinet official to be impeached since William Belknap in 1876.

“Secretary Mayorkas’s willful refusal to enforce federal law created an unprecedented crisis at our southern border and left innocent Americans to pay the price,” House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) said in a statement to Breitbart. “Because Mayorkas failed to do the honorable thing by resigning, House Republicans fulfilled our Constitutional duty by voting to impeach.”

But Mayorkas’ impeachment sent Biden into a fit of rage.

“History will not look kindly on House Republicans for their blatant act of unconstitutional partisanship that has targeted an honorable public servant in order to play petty political games,” Biden wrote in a statement.

As usual, Biden immediately tried to make Mayorkas’ impeachment about identity politics by pointing out his nationality.

“Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, a Cuban immigrant who came to the United States with his family as political refugees, has spent more than two decades serving America with integrity in a decorated career in law enforcement and public service,” Biden said. “From his time in the Justice Department as a U.S. Attorney to his service as Deputy Secretary and now Secretary of Homeland Security, he has upheld the rule of law faithfully and has demonstrated a deep commitment to the values that make our nation great.”

Biden then repeated his phony claims that he is trying to secure the border but can’t do it unless Congress grants him the authority.

“Instead of staging political stunts like this, Republicans with genuine concerns about the border should want Congress to deliver more border resources and stronger border security,” Biden wrote. “Sadly, the same Republicans pushing this baseless impeachment are rejecting bipartisan plans Secretary Mayorkas and others in my administration have worked hard on to strengthen border security at this very moment — reversing from years of their own demands to pass stronger border bills.”

“Congress needs to act to give me, Secretary Mayorkas, and my administration the tools and resources needed to address the situation at the border,” Biden claimed.

Of course, the reality is that Joe Biden could secure the border by simply reinstating the successful immigration policies put in place by former President Donald Trump.

Joe Biden reversed Trump’s policies on his first day in office by halting construction on the border wall, returning to the dangerous policy of Catch and Release, and repealing the Remain in Mexico Protocols.

But with the situation now out of control, Biden knows he is in trouble.

And he is going out of his way to try and convince Americans that he is trying to secure the border but Republicans won’t let him.
