Donald Trump was confronted with one lie about John McCain. This is how he reacted

The Fake News Media is throwing the kitchen sink at Donald Trump in order to defeat him this November.

Their latest attack is appalling.

And Donald Trump was confronted with one lie about John McCain. This is how he reacted.

Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic published what critics blasted as a fake news article, which was a collection of allegations about Donald Trump disrespecting the troops.

It sounded like another Russian collusion style fake news hoax.

In the story, Goldberg alleges that Donald Trump did not want to honor John McCain after McCain passed away.

Goldberg claimed Trump swore about having to lower the flags to half-mast and give him a funeral worthy of a head of state.

“When McCain died, in August 2018, Trump told his senior staff, according to three sources with direct knowledge of this event, “We’re not going to support that loser’s funeral,” and he became furious, according to witnesses, when he saw flags lowered to half-staff. “What the f**k are we doing that for? Guy was a f**king loser,” the president told aides. Trump was not invited to McCain’s funeral,” Goldberg wrote.

Donald Trump fired back that the story was a lie.

“I was never a big fan of John McCain, disagreed with him on many things including ridiculous endless wars and the lack of success he had in dealing with the VA and our great Vets, but the lowering of our Nations American Flags, and the first class funeral he was given by our Country, had to be approved by me, as President, & I did so without hesitation or complaint,” Trump began.

Trump blasted the allegations as a false and another desperate attempt by the fake news media to meddle in the election with lies and misinformation.

“Quite the contrary, I felt it was well deserved. I even sent Air Force One to bring his body, in casket, from Arizona to Washington. It was my honor to do so. Also, I never called John a loser and swear on whatever, or whoever, I was asked to swear on, that I never called our great fallen soldiers anything other than HEROES. This is more made up Fake News given by disgusting & jealous failures in a disgraceful attempt to influence the 2020 Election!” Trump added.

Backing up Trump was McCain’s son-in-law, conservative writer Ben Domenech, who ripped Goldberg’s story as phony.

“I’m confident I have better sources within this White House than @JeffreyGoldberg, and I expect that upon investigation his anonymously sourced story will live up to the quality we can expect from The Atlantic under his leadership,” Domenech wrote.
