Tucker Carlson could be about to make the biggest career change of his life
Tucker Carlson is the most watched host in all of cable news.
But his future may lie elsewhere.
And Tucker Carlson could be about to make the biggest career change of his life.
One way or the other, there will be an open Republican primary for President in 2024.
And one potential candidate picking up buzz is Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
Carlon’s built the biggest following on cable news with his nightly monologues putting together an ideological and moral framework for the Trump agenda of restricting immigration, limiting foreign wars, and making the middle class great again.
Operatives in Washington, D.C. believe Carlson’s massive ratings – he regularly draws the biggest viewership in all of cable news with a nightly audience of over four million people – puts Carlson in prime positions to enter the 2024 race as one of the frontrunners.
POLITICO reports, “Tucker Carlson Tonight is currently the most watched cable news program in history, according to the second quarter ratings released this week. And on Fox News’ YouTube channel, Carlson’s segments from the past quarter have drawn well over 60 million views and are among the most popular videos in the eight years since the network began posting on the platform.”
But would Carlson give up his rumored six million dollar per year Fox News gig to run for President?
That remains to be seen.
POLITICO reports that “Sixteen prominent Republicans interviewed by POLITICO said there’s an emerging consensus in the GOP that the 51-year-old Carlson would be formidable if he were to run. Some strategists aligned with other potential candidates are convinced he will enter the race and detect the outlines of a stump speech in Carlson’s recent Fox monologues. Others, particularly those who know him well, are skeptical that he would leave his prime-time TV gig.”
Carlson’s program is popular because Carlson is one of the few conservative voices standing up to the current mob of rioters and looters trying to impose socialism in America.
He’s filling a void that elected Republicans in Washington, D.C. created by cowering in fear of Black Lives Matter and the media.
And Carlson has built a following that could make him a Presidential contender in 2024.
