Donald Trump just suffered a shocking loss that will leave you speechless

Donald Trump is the leader of the Republican Party.

But is Donald Trump losing his grip on the GOP?

Because Donald Trump just suffered a shocking loss that will leave you speechless.

The one Republican who continues to grow in stature throughout 2022 is Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Polls show DeSantis in second place to Donald Trump in a 2024 Presidential Primary.

These same polls also show that DeSantis is the overwhelming favorite to win the GOP nomination if Donald Trump decides not to run for re-election in 2024.

But there are now some signs that DeSantis’ popularity is beginning to equal that of Donald Trump’s.

For the second year in a row, Governor DeSantis topped Trump in the Western Conservative Summit’s straw poll.

The Hill reports:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) bested former President Trump for the second year in a row in a 2024 presidential election straw poll conducted Saturday.

The poll was taken at the Western Conservative Summit in Aurora, Colo., a gathering of 2,000 people in person and thousands more over the internet sponsored by the Centennial Institute at Colorado Christian University.

The percentage of voters who said they approved of DeSantis for the 2024 race topped the percentage for Trump by over 3 points, a slight 0.6 point increase from last year’s results.

Voters selected all the candidates of whom they approve for a 2024 run in the poll, with 71 percent saying they approve of DeSantis compared to 67.7 percent who approve of Trump.

Governor DeSantis’ rise in popularity among grassroots Republicans owes to the fact that he not only picks all the right fights with the Democrats and the corporate-controlled media, but that he also wins fights against the Left.

In 2020 and 2021, Governor DeSantis emerged as the leader of the fight against the COVID machine by rejecting lockdowns, school closures, mask mandates, and forced vaccination.

Just recently, Governor DeSantis took on woke corporations by stripping Disney of its special tax privileges and vetoing $35 million in funding for the Tampa Bay Rays spring training facility after the Major League Baseball franchise tweeted in support of disarming American citizens.

Ron DeSantis has never stated he would consider running for President in 2024.

Nor has DeSantis ruled out a run if Donald Trump decides to seek a second term.
