Donald Trump did not like this surprise about a coronavirus vaccine

President Trump made developing a coronavirus vaccine the centerpiece of his administration’s strategy to end the coronavirus pandemic.

But that is now at the center of controversy.

And Donald Trump did not like this surprise about a coronavirus vaccine.

Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have floated conspiracy theories about Donald Trump approving a coronavirus vaccine before scientists judge it to be safe and effective.

The Food and Drug Administration’s strict review policies make that impossible.

But that hasn’t stopped the fake news from trying to blunt the expected announcement later this fall that a vaccine is ready.

These conspiracy theories are also driving down the number of Americans willing to take a vaccine.

And the Democrats’ disinformation campaign was boosted by results out of England where AstraZeneca halted their vaccine trial after one participant experienced an adverse result.

Fox News reports:

Pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca will put an experimental coronavirus vaccine study on hold in America after a participant in the United Kingdom faced an apparent serious adverse reaction, according to a report.

The Anglo-Swedish company’s “standard review process triggered a pause to vaccination to allow review of safety data,” an AstraZeneca spokesperson said.

The pause is “a routine action which has to happen whenever there is a potentially unexplained illness in one of the trials, while it is investigated, ensuring we maintain the integrity of the trials.”

AstraZeneca is “working to expedite the review of the single event to minimize any potential impact on the trial timeline.”

Few Americans want mandatory coronavirus vaccines.

But one path to herd immunity would be a sufficient number of Americans choosing to take a vaccine.

However, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are spreading dangerous conspiracy theories and misinformation about how the Trump administration will approve an eventual coronavirus vaccine prematurely posing severe risks to those who take it.
