McDonald’s teased the return of one item that will have fans racing to the drive-thru

McDonald’s heard the outcry from their customers over one long-lost menu item.
The fast food giant answered their wishes.
And McDonald’s teased the return of one item that will have fans racing to the drive-thru.
McDonald’s is bringing back the snack wrap
The McDonald’s Snack Wrap has become one of the fast food chain’s cult menu items, along with the McRib.
Snack Wraps were introduced in 2006 and lasted on the menu until 2016.
They became favorites because they were a great meal to eat on the go.
Snack Wraps were made with either crispy or grilled chicken strips, lettuce, shredded cheese, and a sauce like honey mustard or ranch.
Fans have been anxiously awaiting its return to the menu since it was taken off nearly a decade ago.
McDonald’s initially removed the Snack Wrap from the menu because it took too long for employees to make them.
But the fast food giant listened to its fans and dropped a hint about their return on social media.
“snack wraps 0x.14.2025,” McDonald’s wrote on X.

Sometime this year, the Snack Wrap will be back on the menu to the delight of fans.
Anticipation has been building since McDonald’s U.S. President Joe Erlinger announced that they were returning last December.
“The Snack Wrap will be back in 2025. This has a cult following. I get so many emails into my inbox about this product. It will be back in 2025,” Erlinger told ABC’s Good Morning America in December 2024.
Erlinger declined to provide an exact date that fans would see them on menus because of “competitive reasons.”
Chicken is as popular as the burger at McDonald’s
McDonald’s became the biggest fast food chain in the world because of its hamburgers.
The popularity of chicken has been soaring after the McCrispy line of chicken sandwiches was introduced in 2021.
McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski said last year that sales of chicken sandwiches and McNuggets were equal to hamburgers.
Bringing back the Snack Wrap will add to the growing demand for chicken.
Kempczinski was asked about the return of chicken strips and the Snack Wrap during a call with investors about fourth quarter earnings in February.
He said the chicken team “would kill me if I gave any more details about the when and the exact specifics of how we’re going to plan on doing that, but certainly expect that to come online later in the year.”
“There is incredible energy for the return of Snack Wraps in the U.S., along with a few other markets,” Kempczinski added.
McDonald’s senior marketing director Guillaume Huin said that interest on social media from fans helped spur the return of the Snack Wrap.
“If you ever wonder if your posts here matter, they do. Snack Wrap Nation (yes, it’s a true thing), you made this happen. Snack Wraps are, by far, our most requested item on @X or at our customer care service,” Huin wrote on X. “Every single post you made got us closer to being able to bring back the Snack Wraps at McDonald’s. They were in all our meetings, in every single powerpoint, in all our discussion to decide if we should bring back this icon.”
Snack Wrap fanatics helped bring this beloved item back to the McDonald’s menu.
