The South Dakota Governor turned Trump Administration official didn’t mince words about what federal agents are facing on the streets.
"Our intelligence indicates that these people are organized, they’re getting more and more people on their team, as far as attacking officers, and they’re making plans to ambush them and to kill them," Noem stated.
But the worst revelation was still coming.
"We have specific officers and agents that have bounties that have been put out on their heads," Noem continued. "It’s been $2,000 to kidnap them, $10,000 to kill them. They’ve released their pictures. They’ve sent them between their networks."
Think about that for a moment.
Foreign criminal organizations are literally putting price tags on the heads of American law enforcement officers trying to protect our communities.
This isn’t some third-world country under siege – this is happening right here in the United States.
Chicago incident exposes the coordinated nature of attacks
Noem detailed a "really strange incident" that happened in Chicago that shows just how organized these attacks have become.
"We had a caravan of 10 different vehicles that were following our border patrol agents and officers that were out there on the streets of Chicago," Noem explained. "And they had followed them and gotten them cornered, pinned them down and then our agents, when getting out of their cars, they tried to run them over and had semi-automatic handguns on them."
The attack forced federal agents to defend themselves.
"Our agents had to protect themselves and shots were fired and an individual ended up in the hospital that was attacking these officers," Noem said.
This wasn’t some random confrontation or spontaneous protest gone wrong.
This was a coordinated ambush involving multiple vehicles and armed attackers specifically targeting federal law enforcement.
The individual involved had previously threatened the agents and "had told them that they all need to go down and shouted expletives at them."
Foreign terrorist organizations coordinating with cartels
Here’s what should terrify every American about this situation.
Noem revealed that the bounty system isn’t just coming from street gangs or local criminal organizations.
"It is gangs. It is cartel members and known terrorist organizations," Noem stated. "So, foreign terrorist organizations as deemed by the president, but also ones that we have known for many, many years."
These aren’t disorganized criminals making random threats.
These are sophisticated international criminal networks and terrorist organizations working together to systematically target American law enforcement officers.
They’re "making sure that they know which officers are out there and being extremely effective and they want to take them down because they want to try to stop the operations that are going, that are – that are keeping them from making money off their criminal networks."
The cartels and terrorist groups see specific ICE agents as business obstacles that need to be eliminated.
Democrat governors living in denial while agents face death threats
Look at the disconnect between Democrat politicians and the reality on the ground.
Noem called out the governors of Oregon and Illinois for their willful ignorance about what federal agents are experiencing.
"I encourage the governor of Oregon, and of Illinois, and that attorney general, should go down and spend some time with our ICE officers and with our border patrol officers and encounter the protesters that they do," Noem stated.
While these Democrat leaders sit in "safe facilities, some of them with protective detail," federal agents are dealing with organized criminals "shouting hateful things at them, threatening their families, putting their hands on them and acts of violence are occurring on a regular basis."
The contrast couldn’t be starker.
Democrat politicians who actively undermine immigration enforcement get to hide behind security details while the agents trying to enforce the law face coordinated assassination attempts.
These same Democrat leaders call ICE operations "raids" and portray federal agents as the villains while foreign criminal organizations literally put bounties on their heads.
Unprecedented threats require unprecedented responses
Noem made clear this situation has reached levels never seen before in American law enforcement.
"It’s an extremely dangerous situation and unprecedented," Noem explained.
The Department of Homeland Security has been forced to "put protective detail around those individuals" and "changed some of our operations to keep our officers safe."
But here’s what every American needs to understand about what’s really happening.
This isn’t just about immigration enforcement anymore.
When foreign criminal organizations and terrorist groups start coordinating bounty systems against American law enforcement, that’s an act of war against the United States.
The fact that they’re releasing photos, phone numbers, and specific targeting information shows the sophisticated intelligence capabilities these organizations have developed.
They’re not just crossing our borders – they’re actively hunting the people trying to defend them.
For families of ICE agents and Border Patrol officers, this means their loved ones leave for work every day knowing there are organized criminal networks specifically planning to kill them.
The Biden Administration spent four years calling these same agents "whip-wielding" racists and "storm troopers."
Now the Trump Administration is discovering that Democrat rhetoric helped create an environment where foreign criminals feel emboldened to put actual bounties on federal agents’ heads.
