Trump posted the message on Truth Social Wednesday morning, September 23, 2026.

"Canada is destroying itself by allowing millions and millions of people into the Country, essentially unchecked and unvetted, and who are causing problems that will soon be too big to handle," Trump wrote.

He called it "a Liberal takeover that will end very badly."

Then he pointed to the receipts.

"Already showing up in their numbers," Trump wrote. "Big unemployment."

He closed the post with a sarcastic jab at Canada's national anthem – "Oh Canada!" – signed "President DJT."

Trump isn't inventing the unemployment problem out of thin air.
