Border Czar Tom Homan has been making waves with Trump’s immigration crackdown.

But even he wasn’t prepared for what happened next.

And Tom Homan confessed this surprising reason he ditched one of his social media accounts.

ICE recruitment offices can’t keep up with the flood of applications

Border Czar Tom Homan appeared on Newsmax with numbers that would make Biden officials break out in a cold sweat.

ICE and Border Patrol recruitment has exploded so dramatically that Homan literally had to shut down his LinkedIn account.

"Well, I can tell you this, John, we had thousands of people contacting me. I mean, literally thousands – LinkedIn account had to shut it down," Homan told Newsmax host John Bachman.¹

Here’s the kicker – thousands of former agents started reaching out before Trump even announced the signing bonuses.

Just knowing Trump was back in the White House was enough to get these patriots dusting off their badges.

The incentive packages sent recruitment through the roof.

"The numbers are extraordinary. I was talking to the CBP commissioner this week. The record. They got more recruits coming in from border patrol any time in history. Their recruiting offices swamp. They got more people they can handle," Homan explained.²

Trump’s immigration enforcement operation is about to get a massive injection of experienced manpower.

Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill opens the floodgates for recruitment

Congress allocated a massive $75 billion for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations through the One Big Beautiful Bill.

ICE took that money and launched "Operation Return to Mission" – their most aggressive recruitment push in agency history.³

The signing bonuses would make any federal employee jealous.

Returning ICE agents score up to $50,000 just for coming back, and they keep collecting their retirement benefits too.⁴

Border Patrol sweetened the deal even further – $30,000 for agents willing to work the tough assignments along the southern border.⁵

ICE throws in $10,000 annual retention bonuses for agents who stick around for three years.

Starting salaries for new ICE deportation officers run from $49,739 to $89,528 per year. Experienced agents push well into six figures.⁶

Border Patrol agents who take jobs in places like Sierra Blanca, Texas and Lordsburg, New Mexico can stack multiple bonuses on their base pay.

The government finally figured out that you get what you pay for.

Experienced agents bring skills you can’t teach in a classroom

Homan knows exactly why bringing back veteran ICE agents beats training rookies from scratch.

"ICE, I know they got hundreds and hundreds of people already signed up to come back, and it’s a great move. Bring back ICE agents who know the Fourth Amendment, they know how to speak Spanish, they know how to use the processing system," Homan stated.⁷

These guys have been in the trenches. They’ve seen every trick in the book.

You can’t replicate twenty years of street experience in a training manual.

The returning agents already know how fugitive operations work, understand the legal protocols, and have built relationships with local cops that took decades to develop.

"They know the way we operate on fugitive operations. So they hit the ground, hit the ground from day one after a few weeks of refresher training. So it’s a great move," Homan added.⁸

Biden’s approach was letting this experience walk out the door. Trump’s bringing it back.

Night and day difference from the Biden disaster

Biden spent four years telling ICE agents to stand down while millions of illegal aliens poured across the border.

Experienced deportation officers quit in droves because they couldn’t do their jobs.

Biden’s people were more worried about hurting criminals’ feelings than protecting American communities.

Morale crashed. Agents felt abandoned by their own government.

Trump flipped the script completely. Now agents see their mission clearly: enforce the law and protect Americans.

ICE wants to hire 10,000 new employees over five years, almost doubling their workforce.⁹

The House allocated $8 billion just for this hiring push, plus another $858 million for bonuses.¹⁰

Trump put serious money behind serious enforcement.

Patriots answer the call to serve

The recruitment response reveals something Democrats never understood about the men and women who enforce our immigration laws.

These aren’t mercenaries motivated purely by money.

They’re patriots who believe in the rule of law and protecting American sovereignty.

The signing bonuses help, but what really drives the recruitment surge is having leadership that supports them.

ICE’s recruitment materials invoke the iconic Uncle Sam imagery from the World War era, calling on former agents to "serve once more" in this critical moment.¹¹

"On behalf of a grateful nation," ICE tells former agents, "your country is calling upon you to serve once more."¹²

The response has been overwhelming because these professionals want to be part of the solution.

They want to remove criminal aliens from American streets and restore order to our immigration system.

Under Trump, they finally have a commander-in-chief who won’t tie their hands behind their backs.

Looking ahead to mass deportation operations

The recruitment drive sets the stage for the largest deportation operation in American history.

With over 600,000 illegal aliens with criminal histories walking free in American communities, there’s no shortage of work to be done.¹³

"More agents means more bad guys arrested, taken off the streets of this country every single day," Homan stated during a White House briefing.¹⁴

The administration projects deportations of approximately one million illegal aliens per year once the expanded workforce is fully operational.

ICE is targeting not just criminal aliens, but also those who’ve ignored deportation orders and continue flouting immigration law.

The agency’s Homeland Security Investigations division is seeing a 830% increase in assaults against agents as criminal networks fight back against enforcement.¹⁵

But with thousands of experienced agents returning to the fold, ICE will have the manpower to handle whatever resistance they encounter.

The Biden era of catch-and-release is officially over.

Tom Homan’s recruitment success proves that when you give law enforcement officers a clear mission and strong leadership, patriots will answer the call.

Biden loyalists who spent four years undermining immigration enforcement are about to learn what real border security looks like.
