Massachusetts Governor Just Desecrated a Texas War Flag and Nobody Is Talking About It

Democrats have always had one rule: they decide what's good for you.
Now a Massachusetts governor just desecrated this War Flag to prove it.
Wait until you see what she replaced the cannon with.
RFK Jr and Dunkin Donuts Are Now in a MAHA Showdown
Legal scholar Jonathan Turley noticed something this week that the mainstream media buried.
Democrats – the same party that cheered when New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg tried to ban the Big Gulp – but now they’ve exposed themselves as shills for propping up Big Sugar with Americans’ tax dollars.
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was at an "Eat Real Food" rally in Austin, Texas, on February 26 when he put two of America's biggest coffee chains on notice.
"We're going to ask Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks, 'Show us the safety data that show that it's OK for a teenage girl to drink an iced coffee with 115 grams of sugar in it,'" Kennedy told the applauding crowd.
"I don't think they're going to be able to do it."
Kennedy wasn't calling for a ban.
He was issuing a challenge.
Kennedy’s position isn’t about adding a few packets of table sugar – 3 to 4 grams – to your iced coffee.
It’s about driving a truck through the "Generally Recognized as Safe" (GRAS) loophole – a decades-old FDA policy that lets food companies self-certify the safety of certain food additives without notifying the FDA.
GRAS is supposed to be about not having to wade into a bureaucratic hell-hole because you tweaked your chocolate chip cookie recipe by adding a little baking soda to make them fluffier.

Kennedy explained the problem plainly: the loophole was hijacked by industry to add thousands of new ingredients to the American food supply – ingredients the FDA itself couldn't fully account for – while Europe limits its food supply to around 400 legal ingredients.
Maura Healey Defends Dunkin While Democrats Ignore the GRAS Loophole
Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey shot back on X with a mock version of the 1835 Gonzalez "Come and Take It" flag – the cannon swapped out for a Dunkin' iced coffee.
That flag was carried by Texas colonists at the Battle of Gonzalez, the opening shot of the Texas Revolution against Mexican forces in 1835.
Healey took that symbol – and turned it into a punchline for corporate sugar.
That's the Harvard-educated Democrat who turned Massachusetts into a sanctuary for illegal migrants, appointed the nation's first cabinet-level Climate Chief on her first day in office, and has governed the state as a full-throated progressive for three years running.
Kennedy is doing something Democratic administrations refused to touch for 20 years.
Obama and Biden both had the power to close the GRAS loophole.
They didn't do it for some of the same reasons Maura Healey attacked.
First, opposing Trump isn't about policy for Democrats anymore.
It's a reflex.
Second, Kennedy came from a famous Democratic family and supported Trump – and in Democrat circles, that makes him a traitor.
Plenty of Americans like us tend to be closer to Turley’s position.
"For the record, I have long opposed efforts to ban unhealthy foods. While I strongly support educational campaigns by the government about such unhealthy choices, I believe that it remains an individual choice on whether to engage in unhealthy habits, from smoking to high-fat foods. I also previously wrote how I believe the Big Gulp law was unlawful. It was later struck down."
In 2012, Bloomberg proposed banning New York City restaurants from selling any soda larger than 16 ounces.
The Bloomberg ban was eventually struck down in court.
Maybe the new GRAS rules will meet a similar end.
But that has nothing to do with why a Massachusetts liberal just grabbed a Texas Revolution flag to make sure nothing changes.
You see, it’s really not much different than drug kingpins using local dope dealers to get kids hooked on the playground.
Only in this case there’s no denying the government is part of the supply chain since your tax dollars fund federal food programs that buy many of these products.
All the sugar and some of those self-certified food additives are the addictive part.
Corporatist politicians in both parties – remember Bloomberg was elected as a Republican – ensure access to easy targets in the schools.
