Andy Ogles Exposed the Billionaire Secretly Bankrolling His Tennessee Primary Attack

A California billionaire's cash just cost Chip Roy his primary race for Texas attorney general.

Now that same billionaire has set his sights on one of Trump's closest allies in Tennessee, Andy Ogles.

Millions of dollars later, Ogles is fighting for his political life three days before Tennessee votes.

The Billionaire Behind the Money Has Already Killed One Trump Ally

Chris Larsen made his fortune running the crypto giant Ripple in California, then aimed that fortune straight at Republicans.

He isn't hiding it.

Fox News Digital reviewed FEC filings and traced the Invest in Tomorrow Coalition super PAC directly back to Larsen, who has personally poured $6 million into the group since February.

Follow the money and it runs straight from a Silicon Valley crypto fortune to a dirt-road Republican primary in rural Tennessee.

Larsen has donated more than $5.4 million to Kamala Harris's failed presidential bid, over $300,000 to Nancy Pelosi, and more than $1 million combined to the Democratic Senate and House campaign arms.

That's not a coincidence. That's a receipt.

He also dropped over $1 million into the Jane Fonda Climate PAC, because nothing screams energy independence like taking cues from a Hollywood activist.

This isn't Larsen's first Republican scalp.

His PAC already spent more than $650,000 trying to sink Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, in his primary bid for Texas attorney general.

The ads never mentioned clean energy at all – they targeted conservative voters on Rumble and Truth Social with a lie, claiming Roy was "not MAGA enough for Texas."

Roy finished second and got shoved into a runoff he never recovered from.

Larsen's PAC didn't hide its intentions after Roy lost. It publicly vowed to come after any Republican who crosses the clean energy industry next.

Now Larsen wants Ogles next.

Chris Larsen's Wish List Reads Like the Democrat Donor Hall of Fame

Ogles sits in the House Freedom Caucus and has been one of Congress's loudest voices against Biden-era energy handouts.

He's pushed to gut the clean energy subsidies buried inside Biden's Infrastructure and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act.

Ogles believes that fight, combined with his closeness to President Trump, is exactly why Larsen's money showed up in his primary.

"That tells you how much money they're making off of government subsidies," Ogles said of the PAC's spending against him.

Trump has endorsed Ogles and used the closing days of the primary to reaffirm it, praising him as one of the finest congressmen in Washington and a man who has always shown up when the president needed him.

The Invest in Tomorrow Coalition has already spent roughly $1 million opposing Ogles and boosting his challenger, Charlie Hatcher, and just added another $700,000 for the final stretch.

Hatcher is a former Tennessee agriculture commissioner running as an "America First conservative," even while cashing checks from a billionaire who bankrolled Kamala Harris.

Larsen's own PAC commissioned a poll on the race this week, not Ogles's campaign.

Even that poll still shows Ogles leading Hatcher by four points, according to Axios.

That's a dead heat, three days out, after a Democrat billionaire dumped $2 million into a Republican primary.

This Is What Losing Your Subsidy Gravy Train Looks Like

Chris Larsen didn't spend $2 million because he cares who represents Tennessee's 5th District.

He spent it because Andy Ogles wants to shut off the federal spigot that turns green energy executives into billionaires like Larsen.

Look at the pattern: Chip Roy fights subsidies, Larsen's PAC spends $650,000, Roy gets knocked into a runoff and loses.

Ogles fights the same subsidies, and now the exact same PAC, funded by the exact same man who wrote Kamala Harris a $5.4 million check, shows up with three times the money.

This isn't about clean energy policy. It's about protecting a business model that only survives on your tax dollars, and Larsen is willing to buy a Republican primary to keep the checks coming.

Tennessee Republicans vote Thursday, and if Ogles goes down, every conservative in Congress who's ever voted against a subsidy just found out exactly how far Democrat donors will go to make an example of them.
