Tom Homan Proved Biden’s Criminal Alien Release Policy Was Worse Than Anyone Knew

Biden handed ICE agents a catastrophe – criminals stacked up across every sanctuary city while deportations flatlined and Democrats called enforcement racist.
Now Tom Homan just dropped a number that reframes everything the media said about Trump's immigration crackdown.
What Homan revealed on Newsmax proves Biden's border record was not just a failure – it was a fraud that your grandkids will pay for.
What Biden Left Behind
Under Biden's final full month in office, ICE was running criminal arrest rates at 64 percent.
That sounds identical to what Homan just announced – until you understand the scale.
During Biden's final year, ICE averaged roughly 300 interior arrests per day.
Trump's ICE is running at more than 800 arrests per day – nearly triple the pace – and Homan says the criminal percentage is still climbing.
That means Trump is removing nearly three times as many criminals every single day as Biden ever managed at peak enforcement.
Homan explained why the criminal percentage fluctuates: every time Democrats in sanctuary cities block ICE from entering their jails, ICE has to go into the neighborhood to find the target – and anyone standing nearby who is also in the country illegally gets arrested too.
That is the collateral arrest Democrats spent months screaming about.
They built the policy that created it.
Then they held press conferences condemning it.
The Number the Media Buried
When Homan ran ICE under Trump's first term, roughly 75 percent of arrests were criminals – a figure confirmed by official ICE data from 2017.
That is the benchmark he is working back toward.
64 percent today.
70 percent just months ago, before sanctuary governors started blocking cooperation and pushing agents into less targeted community operations.
Kathy Hochul signed legislation specifically designed to end any cooperation between New York law enforcement and ICE.
Homan's response: New York is going to see more ICE agents than it has ever seen – and the criminal percentage is going to keep climbing because Trump is not stopping.
The Democrats Built This Problem
In Biden's final year, ICE was arresting criminals at a 52 percent rate – down from 70 percent in Trump's first term and 79 percent in Obama's final year.
Biden's ICE was running at 52 percent and barely putting a dent in the criminal population Democrats had spent four years shielding.
The criminals Biden left behind are still out there.
Homan's team arrested 14 people with homicide convictions in Minnesota during a single surge operation – along with 87 people with sex offense convictions and 28 gang members – in one state, in a matter of weeks.
That is not indiscriminate enforcement.
That is what it looks like when a border czar actually means it.
Democrats blocked ICE from jails, built sanctuary cities to shield criminals from deportation, and then lost their minds when Trump sent agents to do the job they refused to do.
Tom Homan's 64 percent number is not a concession – it is a marker on the way back to 75 percent, and every Democrat blocking that work owns every criminal who stays on the street because of it.
