One Hollywood A-list star fled the country because Trump won
Every four years some Hollywood leftist claims they will leave the country if a Republican wins.
This year someone made good.
And one Hollywood A-list star fled the country because Trump won.
Eva Longoria leaves the United States
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria told Maria Claire that she no longer lives in the United States which she calls a “scary place” and “dystopian country.”
Longoria now splits her time between Mexico and Spain.
Naturally what upsets Longoria the most about the United States is the fact that Trump won the election.
“The shocking part is not that he won,” Longoria stated. “It’s that a convicted criminal who spews so much hate could hold the highest office.” She added: “If he keeps his promises, it’s going to be a scary place.”
But Longoria used Trump’s election as a smokescreen.
What caused Longoria to leave the United States was draconian COVID lockdowns and homelessness that overtook California.
Longorio said she couldn’t put up with COVID insanity, the high taxes and fact that woke politicians like Governor Gavin Newsom allowed homeless encampments to overtake the streets,
“I had my whole adult life here,” Longoria added.. “But even before [the COVID pandemic], it was changing. The vibe was different. And then COVID happened, and it pushed it over the edge. Whether it’s the homelessness or taxes, not that I want to s–t on California — it just feels like this chapter in my life is done now.”
Longoria expressed sorrow that more Americans couldn’t join her.
“I get to escape and go somewhere,” Longoria concluded. “Most Americans aren’t so lucky. They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”
A growing number of Californians agree with Longoria.
In 2020, Joe Biden beat Donald Trump by 30 points – 64 to 34 percent – in California.
Four years later California shifted nine points to the right.
Voters in San Francisco and Los Angeles recalled Mayor London Breed and George Soros District Attorney George Gascon.
Voters were fed up with high taxes, homelessness and crime.
Americans across the country felt this way.
That’s why Donald Trump improved his vote share in all 50 states and scored such a landslide victory.
It’s an old saying that every trend starts out in California.
That was true in the 1970s when the anti-tax revolt that presaged Ronald Reagan’s 1980 victory led to the state passing a constitutional amendment limiting the ability of the legislature to raise taxes.
The results of the 2024 election in California represented a dramatic shift to the right.
But many political observers missed celebrities like Longoria, Joe Rogan, Mark Wahlberg and Dean Cain leaving California because the Democrat Party destroyed the quality of life in the Golden State.
