Now Costner’s found common cause with Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney who the Left spent a generation demonizing.
And Kevin Costner came to Liz Cheney’s defense for this shocking reason.
Liz Cheney is now a hero to the Democrat Party.
Cheney flew off the deep end following the events of January 6.
For all intents and purposes she’s now a functional Democrat after voting to impeach Donald Trump, serving on the January 6 hoax committee, and endorsing as well as campaigning for Kamala Harris in Kamala’s doomed bid for the White House.
After Democrats called her and her father Dick Cheney war criminals and profiteers, Cheney is now a revered hero on the Left.
Cheney is also persona non grata on the Right.
Yellowstone star Kevin Costner came to Cheney’s defense in Sirius XM townhall broadcast of the Michael Smerconish show.
Costner claimed Cheney embodied everything he wanted to see in a public servant.
“I expect people in government to do the right thing. Public service is about public service. It’s not about your career. It’s not about your ego. Your four years is your four years,” Costner stated.
Of course when a leftist like Costner praises a RINO like Cheney what he really means is Cheney will roll over and die in every fight that matters to the Left or will actively endorse the Left’s agenda.
Costner endorsed Cheney in her failed 2022 re-election campaign where Cheney lost her primary to a Trump-backed challenger by 39 points.
“I’m very proud of Liz Cheney,” Costner added. “I found a person completely at odds with one side willing to stand up. We should applaud her. We should protect her.”
The media tried to make the last week of the campaign about the hoax that Donald Trump said Liz Cheney should face a firing squad.
“This woman should never be threatened,” Costner declared.
The media whipped up this lie after Trump told Tucker Carlson that Liz Cheney supports sending young Americans off to die in wars that warmongers like her never sign up to fight in.
“I don’t blame him for sticking with his daughter. But his daughter’s a very dumb individual, very dumb. She’s a radical warhawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her. Okay? Let’s see how she feels about it,” Trump stated.
Trump said Cheney and her fellow warmongers might not support military intervention all over the world if they had skin in the game and had to face shots fired in anger.
“You know, when the guns are trained on her face. You know they’re all warhawks when they’re sitting in Washington in a nice building saying, oh gee, let’s send 10,000 troops right into the mouth of the enemy. But she’s a stupid person. I’d have meetings with a lot of people and she always wanted to go to war with people,” Trump added.
After endorsing Kamala Harris’ failed Presidential campaign Liz Cheney will never be welcomed back on the Right and is of no more use to Left after she failed to move any votes.
