ICE Just Blew Past Its Own Arrest Record For the Second Month in a Row
More than fifty anti-ICE protesters got arrested for hurling rocks at Minneapolis police this spring.
ICE agents answered that unrest by posting the biggest arrest month in agency history this summer.
New numbers show one federal agency refusing to blink after the left tried to shut it down.
ICE Breaks Its Own Record Twice In Two Months
ICE arrested roughly 51,000 illegal immigrants in July.
That is the largest single-month total in Department of Homeland Security history.
It works out to about 1,645 arrests every single day.
June already set a record at 43,000 arrests.
July blew past it by 8,000 arrests in thirty days.
DHS credits the surge to the end of a government shutdown that had slowed operations.
Thousands of newly hired ICE agents hit the streets this summer.
Two reconciliation bills pumped billions of new dollars into enforcement.
DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin's agency didn't waste any of it.
The agency posted a statement making the mission plain.
"Every day, the brave men and women of ICE are arresting and deporting dangerous criminal illegal aliens, including gang members, from our country," DHS said.
Gang Members and Predators Off Your Streets
Harlingen, Texas set a single-day field office record with 238 arrests in one operation.
Field Office Director Juan Agudelo didn't mince words about who ICE is hunting.
Agudelo said the agency "will stop at nothing to keep our American communities safe."
Look at who's actually getting picked up.
Suspected gang members. Men with attempted kidnapping convictions. Sexual battery offenders.
Child sex offenders and meth traffickers show up on ICE's own arrest sheets.
Homicide suspects are getting swept up in these operations too.
These are not farmers who overstayed a visa.
Mike Howell, president of the Trump-aligned Oversight Project, says even 51,000 doesn't go far enough.
Howell called the pace "wildly disproportionately low to the scale of illegals let in by Biden."
He's right to keep the pressure on – the Migration Policy Institute estimates 14 to 16 million people are living in this country illegally right now.
Fifty-one thousand in a month sounds massive until you measure it against a backlog that size.
Why This Number Actually Matters
This isn't a random enforcement spike – it's the direct result of Congress handing ICE billions in new funding and staffing.
Monthly totals have climbed every single month since the shutdown ended.
More agents on the street means more predators off it.
Sanctuary city politicians can complain all they want about ICE tactics in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.
Their own policies created the backlog Trump's ICE is now working through one arrest at a time.
Every gang member, every child predator, every homicide suspect ICE pulls off American streets is someone Biden's open border let walk in freely.
That is the real headline behind the 51,000 number, and it's the reason this administration has no plans to slow down.
