ICE Agents Just Gave Leftists One Brutal Reminder About What Happens When You Blockade a Federal Facility
ICE agents in full tactical gear just broke up a leftist blockade outside their facility in Newark, New Jersey.
Masked rioters spent hours reinforcing a barricade to trap federal officers inside – and ICE came out swinging.
What those agents did to clear that blockade on Memorial Day is something every American who loves this country needs to see.
125 Agitators Carrying Antifa Flags Sealed the Building
It started Sunday evening.
Video captured by independent journalist Nick Sortor shows a masked individual with a shovel excavating large concrete pavers from the landscaped area surrounding ICE's Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark.
The blocks weren't thrown.
They were methodically stacked to reinforce an existing barricade – one designed to seal every entry and exit to a federal law enforcement facility.
The Department of Homeland Security described it plainly in an official statement: approximately 125 agitators surrounded Delaney Hall, many carrying anti-ICE signs and Antifa flags, formed a human chain around the entrances, and set up barricades blocking all entries and exits.
Their specific target was a detainee transfer – ICE was moving Martin Alonso Soto Hernandez, an illegal alien charged with assault, to another facility.
The mob decided that was not going to happen.
This wasn't the first time New Jersey's radical left has treated Delaney Hall as a battleground.
In May 2025, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested on the property after refusing federal orders to leave – a confrontation that also resulted in Rep. LaMonica McIver being charged with assaulting federal officers.
McIver pleaded not guilty and currently faces up to 17 years in federal prison.
ICE Dispersed Every One of Them and Completed the Mission
They didn't negotiate.
ICE agents in riot gear advanced on the blockade, pushed through the line, and physically cleared the entrance – protester by protester.
DHS confirmed the outcome in a statement: ICE successfully dispersed approximately 70 agitators, removed the barricades obstructing operations, and completed the transfer of Soto Hernandez to the Elizabeth Contract Detention Facility.
The mission is done.
The mob lost.

New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill showed up Monday demanding entry to the facility and was turned away at the gate.
DHS did not mince words about her visit: "Governor Sherrill's visit to Delaney Hall is nothing more than a political stunt on Memorial Day, when visitation is currently suspended due to riots outside the facility."
She called it a transparency issue.

The Left Has Tried This Before and It Did Not End Well
The Portland playbook – blockade the ICE facility, dare the feds to move – worked once, in 2018, when an Antifa-affiliated mob shut down an ICE building for weeks and the city's Democratic mayor refused to act.
Zero federal accountability followed, and the left filed it away as a blueprint.
Delaney Hall is where that blueprint dies.
McIver is already facing 17 years for what she did at this exact facility last year.
The 70 agitators ICE dispersed Sunday night are now on video, in federal records, and under a DHS administration that has made targeting federal law enforcement its top prosecution priority.
They sealed a federal building on Memorial Day.
They dug up the ground to do it.
And ICE ran them off anyway – completed the transfer, cleared the barricades, and went back to work.
The only question left is how many of those 70 are looking at federal charges by the end of the week.
