Big Tech cracked down on conservative speech online following Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Social media platforms banned Donald Trump and his supporters and suppressed true stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

But Donald Trump said two words about his Truth Social platform that has Mark Zuckerberg pacing the floor.

Big Tech’s war on free speech

Big Tech has been waging a war on conservative speech in America for the past several years.

It all started when Democrats blamed social media companies for allowing former President Donald Trump to communicate with voters on their platforms ahead of his 2016 Election victory.

This led to social media companies censoring any posts or content that ran counter to the Washington D.C. “Swamp’s” narrative.

Eventually, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other Big Tech giants decided to completely ban Trump and any of his influential supporters from their platforms.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg even poured hundreds of millions of dollars into local election offices across the country in the 2020 Presidential Election that Democrats used for left-wing get-out-the-vote drives.

Trump fires back with Truth Social

But the tide is turning after Donald Trump launched his Truth Social platform and Tesla founder Elon Musk purchased Twitter and restored free speech.

After he left office in 2021, Trump launched his own social media platform to compete with apps like Facebook.

“America is ready for TRUTH Social and the end to censorship and political discrimination,” Trump said at the time.

Since its launch, Truth Social has skyrocketed in users and last month received U.S. regulatory approval to go public by merging with a blank check company called Digital World Acquisition Corp.

Trump recently plugged his platform in an interview with Breitbart where he admitted that it was “on fire” with new users.

“By the way, Truth is on fire,” Trump told Breitbart News. “Truth is on fire.”

He then gave an example of how everyone he comes across tells him they have a Truth Social account.

Trump: “Every single hand went up”

“I was with 250 reporters the other day on Super Tuesday, and I asked, ‘Is anybody on Truth?’” Trump recalled, before adding that “every single hand went up.”

Of course, Truth Social has a long way to go before it gives Facebook a run for its money.

But Americans are fed up with censorship.

And Truth Social will likely continue to grow larger and more popular over the course of the year.
